Seeing the great light, Pārvatī was filled with wonder; the daughter of the mountain praised Aruṇādri's Lord with devotion.

Victory to you, whose union with the mountain's daughter brings forth the glory of Kāma.
जय संध्यासमोपेतसंभृतानंदतांडव
Victory to you, whose blissful dance is joined with the twilight hour.
जय हेरंबजनक जय षण्मुखवत्सल
Victory to you, father of Heramba; victory to you, who cherishes Ṣaṇmukha.
इति स्तुत्वा मुहुस्तस्मिञ्ज्योतिषि न्यस्तलोचनाम्
Having repeatedly praised him, she fixed her gaze upon that radiance.
लयित्वा निजमास्थाय रूपमुत्कटसुन्दरम्

एकादशमहारुद्रा आदित्या द्वादशापि च
The eleven great Rudras and the twelve Ādityas,
यक्षरक्षोरगा भूता ये चान्ये शिवकिंकराः
Yakṣas, Rākṣasas, serpents, spirits, and other attendants of Śiva,
परिवार्य महेशानं समाजग्मुः सहस्रशः
Surrounded Maheśāna and approached him by the thousands.
अतीव विस्मयं भेजुः सर्वे कल्पांतभीषणम्
All were struck with intense wonder, as if at the terror of the world's end.
चिररात्रप्ररूढां च तद्वियोगव्यथां जहौ
She abandoned the pain of separation, which had grown over many nights.
पादांगुलीषु नयने विनिवेशयति स्म सा स्मितशरीरकंठश्रीप्रणयेनैवमब्रवीत्

Where are austerities and meditations, suited for harsh people? I am Nārāyaṇa, you are Lakṣmī; I am Brahmā, you are Sarasvatī.
वारुणी त्वं फणींद्रोहं रोहिणी त्वमहं शशी
You are Vāruṇī, I am the lord of serpents; you are Rohiṇī, I am the moon.
जाह्नवी त्वं समुद्रोऽहं मेरुरस्मि त्वमुर्वरा
You are Jāhnavī, I am the ocean; you are Meru, I am the earth.
बुद्धिस्त्वं राजराजोहं त्वं शमाऽहं समीरण
You are wisdom, I am the king of kings; you are tranquility, I am the wind.
विद्या त्वं वेदितव्योऽहं वाक्त्वमर्थोपि पार्वती
You are knowledge, I am the one to be known; you are speech, and I am meaning, O Pārvatī.
सृष्टि स्थित्युपसंहारविधानानुग्रहेश्वरे
In creation, preservation, dissolution, and the granting of grace, I am the lord.
चित्प्रकाशात्मनोर्देवि स्वेच्छाधृतशरीरया
O goddess, with a body sustained by your own will, you are the essence of consciousness and light.
दृष्टाप्रतिक्रिया तस्य क्रियते याधुना मया
That which has no remedy is now being acted upon by me.
