Whatever sins exist in the body made of the seven elements,
He obtains a vast heap of merit and the desired enjoyments of virtue.
One who bathes there, desiring liberation, abandoning all other desires,
Whoever, abandoning the king of fords, seeks some other desire elsewhere,
Between the world of truth and Prayaga, O twice-born, I know of no difference.
Other sacred places are not to be sought by mortals who desire holy fords.
Just as there is a difference, O best of twice-born, between a king and his other servants,
Whoever, in whatever manner, gives up their life at this holy place,
Even the bones of one who is fortunate enough to remain here, O Brahmin,
For one wishing to perform atonement for sins such as killing a Brahmin,
Why speak at length, O foremost of Brahmins, to one desiring great merit,
Even coming from Prayāga or from the lords of holy places, in all worlds,
Indeed, Avimukta is more delightful than Prayāga; there is no doubt,
Avimukta, the great field, is established by Viśveśa,
This field of Avimukta is situated in the center of the cosmic egg,
Just as the water of the single ocean increases,
This field stands at the tip of the trident, where the wielder of the trident abides, O Brahmin,
Here, it is always the Krita Yuga; here, there is always a great festival,
There is always the gentle path there; there is always great merit there,
Just as there are thousands of cities upon the earth, O Brahmin,
I have created, O foremost of Brahmins, the fourteen worlds,
Long ago, Yama performed severe austerities for a long time,
All the actions of everything, both moving and unmoving,
There is never entry for Yama's messengers, O best of Brahmins,
The Lord of all, the self-governing ruler, relinquished his body there in Kāśī.
There, one must not commit sin; dreadful are the torments of Rudra.
Indeed, only sin should be committed if one possesses such a disposition.
Even a creature overwhelmed by desire protects his mother alone.
With a nature inclined to slander others and desiring another's wife,
Those who constantly covet wealth here through gifts,
