In all undertakings, with my companions, I act for you.
The son of the wind, laughing with jealousy, spoke these words.
Those who speak of you thus, O king, say, 'Yudhishthira is omniscient.'
Who indeed is foremost among the wise, the best among those who know all scriptures?

Because you alone know this, you are praised in all the scriptures.
The conscious person and nature, which is unconscious,
Thus, becoming the person himself, O Yudhishthira, with vain understanding,
He should never place his head anywhere without removing his footwear.
If, O Partha, your speech stands as if bound, restrained by others,
Or, considering the great Lord as unperceived, O wise one,
By whose grace we obtained the daughter of Drupada.
Through victory, the bow was gained; Jarasandha was slain by me.
By whose favor, except for Krishna, you praise the one who is victorious.
Knowing your own insignificance and lack of wisdom, you do not praise the Yadava.
By whom the target was pierced long ago, by whom Karna and others were defeated.
It is heard that even the great lord Maheshvara was conquered by him, having displayed valor.
Or else, why did that Indra not grant me the kingdom?
Then why do you not praise me, a hero, in battle, O Yudhishthira?
The king of Madra, having struck with a tree, dried up the river.
By whom the eastern direction was conquered, by whom the demon Baka was slain before.
At every time, I alone protect you, always following.
Then, recognizing my supreme strength from hunger,
Afterwards, becoming well restrained, he uttered the sacred syllable.
Ghosts, goblins, and demons continually afflict the man,
Who, speaking idly, eats and performs auspicious acts at any time.
He has no world here; how could there be another beyond?
Even when reminded thus, if you again proceed,
Yudhishthira, laughing, spoke as if to a spread cloth.
Surely, you are of little understanding; your study of the Vedas has been in vain.
How is it, O sir, that you look down upon her, thinking she is on the side of women?
