स्त्रीभिराराधिता दास्ये सौभाग्यं सुपतिं सुतान् ३४.
Worshipped by women, I shall grant them good fortune, a worthy husband, and sons.
अर्चयिष्यंति मां याश्च पुष्पैर्धूपैर्विलेपनैः ३४.
Those who worship me with flowers, incense, and ointments—
पितरौ श्वशुरौ पुत्रान्पतिं सौभाग्यसंपदः ३४.
They obtain parents, in-laws, sons, a husband, and abundant good fortune.
सप्तमं लवणं प्रोक्तमष्टमं च सुजीरकम् ३४.
The seventh is salt, and the eighth is good cumin.
सुवर्मेनाथ सौगन्ध्यद्रव्यैः शुभफलैरपि ३४.
With gold and fragrant substances, and also auspicious fruits—
माघे वा कार्तिके वापि चैत्रे स्नात्वार्चयेत् माम् ३४.
In Māgha, Kārtika, or Caitra, after bathing, one should worship me.
श्रुत्वेति गिरिजावाचं सानंदः पार्वतीसुतः ३४.
Having heard these words of Girijā, the son of Pārvatī rejoiced.
पुष्पैर्धूपैर्मोदकैश्च पूर्वमभ्यर्च्य त्वां प्रभो ३४.
First worshipping you, Lord, with flowers, incense, and sweets—
भ्रातस्त्वया स्थापितेऽस्मिँल्लिंगे भक्ताश्च ये नराः ३४.
Brother, by you I am established in the liṅga, and those men who are devoted—
एवमुक्ते विघ्नराज्ञा प्रतीतेऽस्थापयच्च तम् ३४.
When the king of obstacles had spoken thus and was satisfied, he established him.
एवं स्थाप्य कुमारेशं लब्ध्वा चैतान्वराञ्छिवात् ३४.
Having thus established Kumāreśa and received these boons from Śiva—
तस्थावंशेन तत्रैव कुमारेश्वरसंनिधौ ३४.
He remained there with his lineage, in the presence of Kumāreśvara.
सफला स्वामियात्रा च तेषां भवति भारत ३४.
Their pilgrimage to the Lord becomes fruitful, O Bhārata.
यत्फलं स्वामियात्रायां तत्फलं समावाप्नुयात् ३४.
Whatever fruit is gained from pilgrimage to the Lord, that fruit is attained.
निमित्तीकृत्य चात्मानं साध्वर्थे लिंगमर्चितम् ३४.
Making himself the instrument, he worshipped the liṅga for the sake of righteousness.
जप्त्वा शुचिर्ब्रह्मचारी मासं मुच्येत पातकात् ३४.
Reciting with purity and celibacy for a month, one is freed from sin.
शतसंख्याबलं राज्यं रुद्रलोक च भेजिरे ३४.
They attained kingdoms with the strength of a hundred, and also the world of Rudra.
लेभे कुठारमुज्जह्ने येनार्जुनभुजान्युधि ३४.
He obtained the axe with which he struck down the arms of Arjuna in battle.
रामेश्वरमिति ख्यातं स्थापितं लिंगमुत्तमम् ३४.
The excellent liṅga established there became known as Rāmeśvara.
प्रीतः स्यात्तस्य रामश्च कुमारेशश्च फाल्गुन ३४.
Rāma and Kumāreśa, O Phālguna, would be pleased with him.
कुमारेशस्य माहात्म्यं कीर्तयेद्यस्तदग्रतः ३४.
Whoever recites the greatness of Kumāreśa before him—
अस्य लिंगस्य माहात्म्यं श्राद्धकाले तु यः पठेत् ३४.
Whoever reads the greatness of this liṅga at the time of śrāddha—
अस्य लिंगस्य माहात्म्यं गुर्विणीं श्रावयेद्यदि ३४.
Or if one makes a pregnant woman hear the greatness of this liṅga—
एतत्पुण्यं पापहरं धर्म्यं चाह्लादकारकम् ३४.
This merit destroys sin, is righteous, and brings delight.
कुमारेण स्थापितोऽत्र कुमारेशस्ततः सुराः ३५.
Here Kumāreśa was established by Kumāra; therefore, the gods—
किंचिद्विज्ञापयष्यामो वयं त्वां श्रृणु तत्त्वतः ३५.
We wish to inform you of something; listen to us in truth.
जयंति ये रणे शत्रूंस्तैः कार्यः स्तंभचिह्नकः ३५.
Those who conquer enemies in battle should erect a victory pillar.
नक्षिपाम वयं यावत्त्मनुज्ञातुमर्हसि ३५.
We wish to set it up; you ought to grant us permission.
तस्य स्तंभाग्रतसतं च संस्थापय शिवात्मज ३५.
Place it before the pillar, O son of Śiva, for him.
ततो हृष्टाः सुरगणाः शक्राद्याः स्तंभमुत्तमम् ३५.
Then the delighted hosts of gods, led by Indra, set up the excellent pillar.
