महातीर्थमिति प्रोक्तं जानीषे यत्र शंभुना 1.3.2.2.

मयूरपुरमुक्तं ते क्षेत्रं माहेश्वरं मया
I have told you of the Maheśvara sacred place called Mayurapura.
श्रीसुंदरमिति क्षेत्रमुक्तं वेगवती तटे
The sacred field called Shri Sundara is situated on the bank of the Vegavati.
कुंभकोणमिति स्थानं शंभोर्वेत्सि हि यत्र सा
You know the place of Shambhu called Kumbhakonam, where she is.
अनुगोदावरीतीरं त्र्यंबकंनाम ते श्रुतम्
You have heard of Tryambaka, named on the bank of the southern Godavari.
श्रीपाटलं व्याघ्रपुरमाख्यातं वेदवित्तम
O best knower of the Vedas, Shri Patala and Vyaghrapura have been described.
क्षेत्रं कदंबपुर्य्याख्यं भवता चावधारितम्
You have also understood the sacred field called Kadambapuri.
अविनाशाख्यमुक्तं ते क्षेत्रं यत्र वृषध्वजः
I have told you of the place called Avinasha, where Vrishadhvaja is.
रक्तैकाननमाख्यातं मया क्षेत्रं तवानघ
O sinless one, I have described to you the sacred field called Raktaikanana.
श्रीहाटकेश्वरं क्षेत्रं पातालस्थं त्वया श्रुतम्
You have heard of the sacred field Shri Hatakeshvara, which is in the netherworld.
वेत्सि शंभोः प्रियावासं कैलासं नित्यसेवकः 1.3.2.2.
You know the beloved abode of Śambhu, Kailāsa, being his eternal servant.
स्थानानि खंडपरशोरित्युक्तानि मया पुरा
The places called Khaṇḍaparaśu were mentioned by me before.
इत्यूचिवानेष शिलादनंदनो मुनेर्मृकण्डोस्तनयं मुनीश्वरम्
Having spoken thus, this son of Śilāda addressed the great sage, the son of Mṛkaṇḍu.
किं मादृशोऽस्ति ते शिष्यस्त्वत्कृपैवात्र साक्षिणी
Is there any disciple like me for you? Your compassion alone is witness here.
स्थानेषु प्राक्त्वदुक्तेषु फलानि च पृथक्पृथक्
In the places previously mentioned by you, the results are distinct and separate.
चराचराणां भूतानां जानतामप्यजानताम्
Among beings, both moving and unmoving, whether they know or do not know,
पश्यैतेन मयैकेन भगवान्नानुराध्यसे
See, by this alone, O Lord, you are not worshipped by me.
पुलहेन पुलस्त्येन वशिष्ठेन मरीचिना
