बकोलूकगृध्रकूर्मा इन्द्रद्युम्न च पार्थिव १३.
Bakā, owl, vulture, tortoise, and Indradyumna, O king—
लोमशश्चापि मार्कंडो जीवन्मुक्तौ भविष्यतः १३.
And also Lomaśa and Mārkaṇḍeya—they will attain liberation while living.
इन्द्रद्युम्नेश्वरं नाम महाकालाख्यमित्युत १३.
The liṅga called Indradyumneśvara is indeed known as Mahākāla.
त्रिरम्यमतुलं लिंगं संस्थाप्येदमुवाच ह १३.
Having established this matchlessly beautiful liṅga three times, he spoke thus.
इन्द्रद्युम्नेश्वरं लिंगं नंदताच्छाश्वतीः समाः १३.
The liṅga of Indradyumneśvara will bring joy for countless ages.
अत्र यो नियतं लिंगमैंद्रद्युम्नं प्रपूजयेत् १३.
Whoever regularly worships the Indradyumna liṅga here—
इत्युक्त्वा सह तैश्चैव पंचभिः शशिशेखरः १३.
Having spoken thus, the moon-crested one, together with those five, also—
एवं प्रभावो राजाभूदिंद्रद्युम्नो महीपतिः १३.
In this way, King Indradyumna, the lord of the earth, became so powerful.
एवंविधःस पुण्योऽयं महीसागरसंगमः १३.
Such is the merit of this holy confluence of the earth and the ocean.
स्नात्वात्र संगमे यश्च इन्द्रद्युम्नेश्वरं नरः १३.
Whoever, having bathed at this confluence, worships Indradyumna’s Lord—
सर्वबन्धहरं लिंगं गाणपत्यप्रदं त्विदम् १३.
This linga removes all bonds and bestows the favor of Ganesha.
इतीदमुक्तं तव पुण्यकारि माहात्म्यमस्योत्तमसंगमस्य १३.
Thus, I have told you the greatness of this most sacred confluence, O doer of good deeds.
कुमारनाथमाहात्म्यं यत्त्वयोक्तं कथांतरे १४.
The greatness of Kumāranātha, which you mentioned in another story—
तारकं विनिहत्यैव वज्रांगतनयं प्रभुः १४.
Having slain Tāraka, the son of Vajrāṅga, the Lord—
दर्शनाच्छ्रवणाद्ध्यानात्पूजया श्रुतिवंदनैः १४.
By seeing, hearing, meditating, worshiping, and reciting hymns—
अत्याश्चर्यमयी रम्या कथेयं पापनाशिनी १४.
This story is most wonderful, delightful, and destroys sin.
वज्रांगः कोप्यसौ दैत्यः किंप्रभावश्च तारकः १४.
Who was that demon Vajrāṅga, and what was the power of Tāraka?
कथं संस्थापितं लिंगं कुमारेश्वरसंज्ञितम् १४.
How was the linga called Kumāreśvara established?
प्रणिपत्य कुमाराय सेनान्ये चेश्वराय च १४.
Having bowed to Kumāra, the general and the Lord—
मानसो ब्रह्मणः पुत्रो दक्षो नाम प्रजापतिः १४.
Daksha, the mind-born son of Brahma, was a Prajapati by name.
ददो स दश धर्माय कश्यपाय त्रयोदश १४.
He gave ten daughters to Dharma, and thirteen to Kashyapa.
भूतांगिरः कृशाश्वेभ्यो द्वेद्वे चैव ददौ प्रभुः १४.
The Lord gave two each to Bhūta, Angiras, and Kṛśāśva.
यासां प्रसूतिप्रभवा लोका आपूरितास्त्रयः १४.
From whose offspring, three worlds became filled.
वसुर्सुहूर्ता संकल्पा धर्मपत्न्यः सुताञ्छृणु १४.
Vasu, Suhūrtā, and Saṃkalpā were wives of Dharma; listen to their sons.
विद्योत आसील्लंबायां ततश्च स्तनयित्नवः १४.
There was lightning in Lambā, and then thunder followed.
भुवो दुर्गस्तथा स्वर्गो नंदश्चैव ततोऽभवत् १४.
From her came Durga on earth, Svarga in heaven, and then Nanda.
साध्या द्वादश साध्याया अर्थसिद्धिस्तु तत्सुतः १४.
The Sādhyas, twelve in number, were born of Sādhyā; Arthasiddhi was her son.
नरनारायणौ प्राहुर्यौ तौ ज्ञानविदो जनाः १४.
People knowledgeable in wisdom declare that Nara and Nārāyaṇa are those two.
ये वै फलं प्रयच्छंति भूतानां स्वं स्वकालजम् १४.
They indeed grant to beings the fruit that arises for each at its proper time.
सुरूपासूत तनयान्रुद्रानेकादशैव तु १४.
Surūpā gave birth to sons, the eleven Rudras.
