नास्ति मातृसमं त्राणं नास्ति मातृसमा प्रपा ६.
There is no protection equal to that of a mother; there is no refuge equal to a mother.
अंगानां वर्धनादंबा वीरसूत्वे च वीरसूः ६.
A mother increases the growth of the limbs, and in giving birth to heroes, she is the mother of heroes.
देवतानां समावापमेकत्वं पितरं विदुः मर्त्यानां देवतानां च पूगो नात्येति मातरम्॥ ६.
The unity of the gods is known as the father; but among mortals and gods, no group surpasses the mother.

हत्वा नारीं च साध्वीं च को नु मां तारयिष्यति ६.
Having killed both a woman and a virtuous one, who now will save me?
यद्ययं चिरकारी स्यात्स मां त्रायेत पातकात् ६.
If this one is a long-suffering person, he may deliver me from sin.
यदद्य चिरकारी त्वं ततोऽसि चिरकारिकः ६.
Because today you are long-suffering, therefore you are called long-suffering.
आत्मानं पातके विष्टं शुभाह्व चिरकारिक ६.
You, called long-suffering, are immersed in sin yourself.
चिरकारिकं ददर्शाथ पुत्रं मातुरुपांतिके ६.

By disciplining oneself for a long time, one attains respect for a long time.
चिरं पृच्छेच्च श्रृणुयाच्चिरं न परिभूयते ६.
One should ask questions for a long time and listen for a long time; thus, one is not disregarded for a long time.
भये च साधुपूजायां चिरकारी न शस्यते ६.
In danger and in honoring the virtuous, one who delays is not praised.
ततश्चिरमुपास्याथ दिवं यातिश्चिरं मुनिः ६.
