Just as a lion, maddened with pride, seeks to kill, so too did he.

And many other radiant mountains as well,

Seeing all of them fearful and terrified, the son of Śiva,

Said: 'Do not be distressed, O blessed ones, let no worry arise, O mountains.'
Thus consoling those mountains, joined by the hosts of gods, the high-minded one,

At that time, Himālaya arrived, surrounded by his sons.
Then all the hosts of gods, beginning with Indra, along with the sages, placing Kumāra at the front, became engaged in the rite of waving lights.
With the resounding of songs, instruments, and the great chanting of the Vedas,

After slaying that Tāraka in battle by the great-souled Kumāra,
Indeed, Kumāra is none other than Śambhu, by whom all this is pervaded.
By seeing Kumāra, fulfillment comes at once for people; by his sight, their sins are washed away, without doubt.
