तावत्सर्वे समायाताः पर्वतेंद्रस्य मंत्रिणः २५.
At that moment, all the ministers of the lord of the mountains arrived.
पंचवाद्यप्रघोषेण ब्रह्मघोषेण भूयसा २५.
With the resounding of five musical instruments and a great proclamation of Brahman, the gathering was further enhanced.
एवं प्राप्ता यत्र शंभुः सकलैः परिवारितः स्त्रीभिर्मंगलगीतेन सर्वाभरणभूषितः॥ २५.
Thus, they reached the place where Shambhu was, surrounded by all, adorned by women singing auspicious songs and wearing every ornament.
ऋषयो देवगंधर्वास्तथान्ये पर्वतोत्तमाः बभौ छत्रेण महता ध्रिमाणेन मूर्द्धनि॥ २५.
The sages, gods, Gandharvas, and other eminent mountains were present; he shone beneath a great, splendid umbrella held above his head.
चामरै वीर्ज्यमानोऽसौ मुकुटेन विराजितः २५.
He was fanned with chāmaras and radiantly adorned with a crown.
अग्रगा ह्यपि शोभंतः श्रिया परमया युताः २५.
Those at the forefront were resplendent, endowed with supreme splendor.
तथैव गायकाः सर्वे परममंगलम् २५.
Likewise, all the singers performed the most auspicious music.
अरुंधती महाभागा अनसूया तथैव च २५.
Arundhati, greatly fortunate, and Anasuya were also present.
एभिः समेतो जगदेकबंधुर्बभौ तदानीं परमेण वर्चसा २५.
Joined by these, the sole kin of the world shone at that time with supreme brilliance.
स वीज्यमानः पवनेनः साक्षाच्छत्रं च तस्मै शशिना ह्यधिष्ठितम् २५.
He was fanned by the wind, and a parasol, directly presided over by the moon, was held for him.
पुष्पैर्ववर्षुर्ह्यवकीर्यमाणा देवास्तदानीं मुनिभिः समेताः विवेश शंभुः परया सपर्यया संपूज्यमानो नरदेवदानवैः॥ २५.
At that moment, the gods, assembled with the sages, showered flowers; Shambhu entered with the highest worship, honored by men, gods, and demons.
एवं समागतः शंभुः प्रविष्टो यज्ञमण्डपम् २५.
Thus, Shambhu, having arrived, entered the sacrificial pavilion.
गजादुत्तारयामास महेशं पर्वतोत्तमः २५.
The foremost mountain lifted Mahesha down from the elephant.
मेनया सखिभिः साकं तथैव च पुरोधसा २५.
With Menā, accompanied by her friends and the officiating priest as well.
ब्रह्मणा नोदितः सद्यः पुरोधाः कृतवान्प्रभुः २५.
Prompted by Brahma, the priest immediately performed the rites.
अंतर्वेद्यां संप्रवेश्य यत्र सा पार्वती स्थिता २५.
He led them into the inner altar, where Parvati was standing.
तत्रानीतो हरः साक्षाद्विष्णुना ब्रह्मणा सह २५.
There, Hara was brought directly by Vishnu together with Brahma.
गर्गो मुनिश्चोपविष्टस्तत्रैव घटिकालये २५.
There, the sage Garga was seated in the time-keeping chamber.
ॐपुण्येति प्रणिगदन्गर्गो वध्वंजलिं दधे २५.
Om, 'puṇya'—thus uttering, Garga bowed with folded hands before the bride.
तया संपूजितो रुद्रो दध्यक्षतकुशादिभिः २५.
Honored by her, Rudra received offerings of rice, sacred grass, and other items.
विलोकयंती शंभुं तं यदर्थे परमं तपः २५.
Beholding Śambhu, for whose sake she had performed supreme austerity.
तपसा तेन संप्राप्तो जगज्जीवनजीवनः २५.
Through that austerity, she attained him who is the life of all living beings.
तथा गंगादिभिश्चन्यैर्मुनिभिः सनकादिभिः तदा शिवेन सा तन्वी पूजितार्घ्याक्षतादिभिः॥ २५.
Likewise, by Gaṅgā and others, and by sages such as Sanaka, she was worshipped by Śiva with offerings of water, rice, and so forth.
एवं परस्परं तौ च पार्वतीपरमेश्वरौ २५.
Thus, Parvati and the Supreme Lord mutually honored each other.
त्रैलोक्यलक्ष्म्या संवीतौ निरीक्षंतौ परस्परम् अरुंधत्या तदा तौ च दंपती परमेश्वरौ॥ २५.
Clad in the splendor of the three worlds, gazing upon one another, the divine couple, Parvati and the Supreme Lord, were observed by Arundhati.
अनसूया तथा शंभुं पार्वतीं च यशस्विनीम् २५.
Anasuya likewise gazed upon Śambhu and the illustrious Parvati.
तथैव सर्वा द्विजयोषितश्च नीराजयामासुरहो पुनः पुनः २५.
In the same way, all the wives of the twice-born repeatedly performed the ritual of waving lamps.
एतस्मिन्नंतरे तत्र गर्गाचार्यप्रणोदितः २५.
Meanwhile, there, prompted by the teacher Garga—
हैमं कलशमादाय मेना चार्द्धां गामाश्रिता २५.
Menā, taking a golden vessel, approached the cow for the ritual.
तदा हिमाद्रिणा प्रोक्तो विश्वनाथो वरप्रदः २५.
