विष्णोरमितभावज्ञा मुकुंदाच्च मनोरमाः श्रीवत्सांकधराः सर्वे पीतवासोन्विताश्च ते॥ २३.
Those who know the immeasurable nature of Viṣṇu, delightful ones from Mukunda, all bearing the mark of Śrīvatsa and clad in yellow garments, were there.
चतुर्भुजाः कुंडलिनः किरीटकटकांगदैः शोभिताः सर्व एवैते महापुरुषलक्षणाः॥ २३.
All of them were four-armed, adorned with earrings, crowns, bracelets, and armlets, possessing the marks of great persons.
तेषां मध्ये गतो विष्णुः श्रियोपेतः सुरारिहा॥ २३.
In their midst stood Viṣṇu, destroyer of the gods' enemies, together with Śrī.
बभौ त्रिलोकीकृतविश्वमंगलो महानुभावैर्हृदि कृत्य धिष्ठितः २३.
He shone, auspicious to the three worlds, established in the hearts of the great by his mighty qualities.
स तार्क्ष्यपुत्रोपरि संस्थितो महाँल्लक्ष्म्या समेतो भुवनैकभर्ता २३.
He, the sole lord of the worlds, stood upon Garuḍa, joined with great Lakṣmī.
तथा विरिंचिर्निजवाहनस्थो वेदैः समेतः सह षड्भिरंगैः २३.
Likewise, Brahmā, seated on his own vehicle, was present, accompanied by the Vedas and their six limbs.
वेधोहरिभ्यां च तदा सुरेद्रैः समावृतश्चर्षिभिः संपरीतः २३.
Then Brahmā and Hari, surrounded by the gods and attended by the sages, were present there.
शुद्धस्फटिकसंकाशं वृषभं धर्मवत्सलम् २३.
There was a bull, pure as crystal, devoted to righteousness.
एभिस्समेतोऽसुरदानवैः सह ययौ महेशो विबुदैरलंकृतः २३.
Accompanied by these, and together with the gods and asuras, great Maheśa proceeded, adorned by the wise.
तथैव सर्वं परया मुदान्वितश्चक्रे गिरींद्रः स्वसुतार्थमेव २४.
In the same way, the lord of mountains, filled with supreme joy, did everything for the sake of his own daughter.
आहूय विश्वकर्माणं कारयामास सादरम् २४.
He summoned Viśvakarman and respectfully had him undertake the work.
अयुतेनैव विस्तारं योजनानां द्विजोत्तमाः २४.
O best of twice-born, the expanse was ten thousand yojanas.
स्थावरं जंगमं चैव सदृशं च मनोहरम् २४.
There were stationary and moving beings, and also things that were similar and pleasing to the mind.
जंगमेन च तत्रैव जितं स्थावरमेव च २४.
There, the moving beings conquered the stationary ones as well.
जलं किं नु स्थलं तत्र न विदुस्तत्त्वतो जनाः २४.
People there could not truly discern whether it was water or land.
क्वचिच्छिखंडिनस्तत्र कृत्रिमाः सुमनोहराः २४.
In some places there were peacocks, artificial and exceedingly charming.
के सत्याः के असत्याश्च संस्कृता विश्वकर्मणा २४.
Some were real, some were unreal, crafted by Viśvakarman.
पुंसो धनूंषि चोत्कृष्य स्थावरा जंगमोपमाः २४.
Men, drawing their bows, stood firm like stationary beings, yet resembled the moving ones.
चामरैर्वीज्यमानाश्च केचित्पुष्पांकुरान्विताः २४.
Some were fanned with yak-tail whisks, adorned with budding flowers.
कृत्रिमाश्च तथा बह्व्यः पताकाः कल्पितास्तथा २४.
Likewise, there were many artificial banners, also skillfully fashioned.
गजाः स्वलंकृता ह्यासन्कृत्रिमा ह्यकृतोपमाः २४.
There were elephants, richly adorned, artificial yet appearing as if real.
रथा रथियुता ह्यासन्कृत्रिमा ह्यकृतोपमाः २४.
There were chariots, together with charioteers, artificial yet appearing as if real.
महाद्वारि स्थितो नंदी कृतस्तेन हि मंडपे २४.
At the great gate stood Nandi, made by him in that pavilion.
तस्योपरि महद्दिव्यं पुष्पकं रत्नभूषितम् २४.
Above him was a great, divine Puṣpaka chariot, adorned with jewels.
वामपार्श्वे गजौ द्वौ च शुद्धकाश्मीरसन्निभौ २४.
On the left side were two elephants, shining like pure Kashmir cloth.
तथैव दक्षिणे पार्श्वे द्वावश्वौ दंशितौ कृतौ २४.
Likewise, on the right side, two horses were made, splendidly decorated.
षोडशप्रकृतीस्तेन याथातथ्येन धीमता २४.
The sixteen classes of officials were made there, each in their true form, by the wise one.
तथैव ऋषयः सर्वे भृग्वाद्यश्च तपोधनाः २४.
In the same way, all the sages, beginning with Bhṛgu, ascetics rich in penance, were made.
कृताः सर्वे महात्मानो याथातथ्येन धीमता २४.
All those great souls were made, each in their true form, by the wise one.
अनेकाश्चर्यसंभूतो दिव्यो दिव्यविमोहनः २४.
It was filled with countless wondrous things, divine and enchanting even to the gods.
