By your order, O auspicious one, the work must be done; you should declare it all.
You are the Self and I am Nature; there is no need for deliberation here.
The body is seized by ignorance, but you, O transcendent one, are bodiless.
O Shambhu, create the world as I have spoken, O Lord.
Thus addressed by her, the great-souled Lord Maheśvara, for the sake of mocking the world—
Meanwhile, there, Himavat arrived together with the mountains.
Surrounded by his sons, he came for the sake of seeing Pārvatī.
Then Himavat, along with the mountains, saw Pārvatī, as well as her parents, brothers, and all her relatives.
At that time, the illustrious one lifted his daughter onto his lap, embraced her, and was filled with tears.
"O highly fortunate one, tell us everything, for we are eager to hear."
"By supreme austerity alone, the destroyer of Kāma was propitiated."
"There, the great god, pleased, came to grant a boon."
"And then, O Śambhu, this is being done by my father, though he is now absent."
Hearing her words, he attained the highest joy.
"Today, we and all the mountains will return to our own abode."
Thus spoke all the gods, led by Himālaya.
Then Himālaya, as she was being praised, lifted the radiant maiden onto his shoulder.
The divine kettledrums resounded, and many conches and trumpets were blown.
With a great shower of flowers, she was brought home.
Honored by many at that time, the ascetic shone with great splendor.
As she was being worshipped, the goddess then spoke to the lotus-seated one.
"All of you who have gathered here, go now."
Thus, at that time, she entered her sleeping father's house, radiant with supreme brilliance.
Meanwhile, there, prompted by the great Lord, they arrived.
Seeing them, Himādri rose suddenly, his mind stirred.
For what purpose have you come? Tell me the reason for your arrival.
You have gathered here before me, and to see the maiden.
Saying 'so be it,' he brought the group of sages there; then King Himavān, the lord of mountains, spoke, as if smiling.
This is my daughter; listen again to my words.
How can one seeking marriage, who has been made powerless by Kāma, and who is destitute and foolish, be fit to receive a maiden?
