Brahmā and the hosts of gods, along with groups of perfected beings, O best of gods, are waiting to see you.
Therefore, O Lord of gods, you must now protect the gods.
Gradually, Śambhu, greatly enraged, became still.
Why have you, O greatly fortunate ones, come near me?
Then Brahma spoke these words: this task of the gods is most important.
O Deva, this is more difficult than difficult; we have come here to inform you. Tāraka is the enemy of the gods, and my words cannot be otherwise.
Therefore, O Deva Shambhu, you must take Girijā by the right hand.
Having heard the words of Brahma, Shiva laughed and spoke.
Then all the lords of the gods, as well as the sages and ascetics, were present.
Madana was burned by me for the accomplishment of everyone's purpose.
At that very moment, O gods, Parvati and Madana were there.
Thus, O gods, you must deliberate on what is to be done and what is to be considered.
All of you are without desire; there is no doubt about this for me.
Endowed with supreme austerity, we have accomplished what is most difficult.
Through that concentration, you have forgotten Madana.
From anger comes delusion; from delusion, the mind wanders. All must consider my words; never otherwise, anywhere.
Thus, having spoken, the blessed god, the bearer of the bull-banner, proclaimed.
Shambhu became silent, entering meditation once again.
Seeing him established in meditation, Nandin dismissed all those assembled.
Go by the way you came; do not delay.
When all had departed, Bhava remained absorbed in meditation.
He became established in what is beyond the highest, pure, spotless, and free from obstruction.
The sun does not shine, nor fire, nor the moon; thus, there is no light, nor wind at all.
It is indescribable, inconceivable, changeless, and free from affliction.
Beyond sound, without qualities, changeless, pure existence, knowable by knowledge, yet unattainable.
That reality is the Lord, the ruler, the wielder of the Pinaka bow, the blessed one, the bull-bannered.
Girijā, the goddess, then performed supreme austerity.
Having conquered through her austerity, the goddess Parvati by the highest means.
When the bull-bannered one was conquered by the goddess through her austerity.
The god of gods, wielder of the Pinaka bow, came swiftly.
