तस्मात्सर्वे मृत्युमुखं पतिता वै न संशयः १०.
Therefore, all have fallen into the jaws of death, without doubt.
न नमंति गणेशं च दुर्गां चैव तथाविधाम् १०.
They do not bow to Gaṇeśa or to Durgā of such kind.
यूयं सर्वे त्वधर्मिष्ठाः स्तब्धाः पंडितमानिनः १०.
All of you are indeed unrighteous, arrogant, and think yourselves wise.
तस्मात्कालमुखे सर्वे पतिता नात्र संशयः १०.
Therefore, all have fallen into the mouth of Time; there is no doubt about this.
प्ररोचनपराः सर्वे क्षुद्राश्चेंद्रादयो वृथा १०.
All those like Indra are petty and devoted only to persuasion, but their efforts are in vain.
कृतः प्रयत्नो हि महानमृतार्थं त्वया शठ अपि तच्च पराधीन तन्न जानासि दुर्मते॥ १०.
You have indeed made an effort for the great nectar, O deceitful one, but even that is dependent on others; you do not understand this, O misguided one.
यैर्वदवाक्यैस्त्वं मूढ संस्तुतोऽसि तपस्विभिः १०.
With foolish words, you have been praised by ascetics, O fool.
विष्णो त्वं च पक्षपातान्न जानासि हिताहितम् १०.
O Vishnu, because of partiality, you do not know what is beneficial or harmful.
इच्छायुक्तस्त्वमत्रैव सदा बालकचेष्टितः १०.
Here, you are always driven by desire, behaving like a child.
अन्यथा हि कृते ह्यर्थे अन्यथात्वं भविष्यति १०.
If the purpose is done otherwise, its result will also be otherwise.
येनाद्य रक्षिताः सर्वे कालकूटमहाभयात् १०.
By whom all were protected today from the great danger of Kālakūṭa poison.
लोका भस्मीकृता येन तस्माद्येनापि रक्षिताः १०.
By whom the worlds were reduced to ashes, and by whom they were also protected.
कर्मारंभे तु विघ्नेशं ये नार्चंति गणाधिपम् १०.
Those who do not worship the Lord of the Gaṇas at the beginning of an undertaking encounter obstacles.
एतन्महेशस्य वचो निशम्य सुरासुराः किंनरचारणाश्च १०.
Hearing these words of Maheśa, the gods, demons, kinnaras, and charanas listened.
प्रतिपक्षे चतुर्थ्यां तु पूजनीयो गणाधिपः ११.
On the fourth day of the lunar fortnight, the Lord of the Gaṇas should be worshipped.
कृत्वा चावस्यकं सर्वं गणेशस्यार्चनक्रियाम् ११.
Having performed all the necessary rites, one should carry out the worship of Gaṇeśa.
ध्यानमादौ प्रकर्तव्यं गणेशस्य यथाविधि ११.
At the beginning, meditation on Gaṇeśa should be performed according to the proper method.
बहुधोपासका यस्मात्तमः सत्त्वरजोन्विताः ११.
Because there are many worshippers, he is endowed with darkness, goodness, and passion.
पंचवक्त्रो गणाध्यक्षो दशबाहुस्त्रिलोचनः ११.
The Lord of the Gaṇas has five faces, ten arms, and three eyes.
मुखानि तस्य पंचैव कथयामि यतातथम्॥ ११.
His five faces I will describe to you accurately.
मध्यमं तु मुखं गौरं चतुर्दन्तं त्रिलोचनम् ११.
The middle face is fair, has four tusks, and three eyes.
तथान्यत्पीतवर्णं च नीलं च शुभलक्षणम् ११.
Likewise, another is yellow in color, and another is blue with auspicious marks.
तथा दशभुजेष्वेव ह्यायुधानि ब्रवीमि वः ११.
In the same way, I shall now tell you about the weapons in his ten hands.
अक्षमालां लांगलं च मुसलं वरदं तथा ११.
They are: a rosary of beads, a plough, a pestle, and a boon-bestowing gesture.
लंबोदर विरूपाक्षं निवीतं मेखलान्वितम् ११.
He is pot-bellied, has a deformed eye, wears a sacred thread, and is adorned with a girdle.
ध्यानं च सात्त्विकं ज्ञेयं राजसं हि नृणामिव ११.
The meditation that is pure is to be known as sāttvika; the one like that of men is rājasa.
चतुर्भुजं त्रिनयनमेकदंतं महोदरम् ११.
He is four-armed, three-eyed, one-tusked, and has a great belly.
नीलं च तामसं ध्यानमेवं त्रिविधमुच्यते ११.
The dark-hued meditation is tāmasa; thus, threefold meditation is described.
एकविंशतिदूर्वाभिर्द्वाभ्यां नाम्ना पृथक्पृथक् ११.
With twenty-one blades of durva grass, each offered separately with two names,
तथैव नामभिर्देया एकविंशतिमोदकाः ११.
In the same way, twenty-one sweet dumplings should be offered, each with its own name.
