तदाप्रभृति शक्राद्याः सुरा विष्णुसमन्विताः
From that time onward, the gods led by Śakra, accompanied by Viṣṇu,
स्वर्गान्निपातितः कोऽपि सिद्धः काले तपःक्षयात्
Some Siddha, having fallen from heaven at the time of the exhaustion of austerities,
स्खलितं पादजं रक्तं मम कर्तुः प्रदक्षिणम् 1.3.1.9.
The blood from my wounded foot has circled my creator.
प्रदक्षिणमहावीथी शिलाशकलघट्टितम्
The great circumambulatory path is struck by fragments of stone.
मणिपर्वतशृंगेषु कल्पद्रुमवनांतरे
Within the groves of wish-fulfilling trees on the jeweled mountain peaks.
यैर्वै जनः कृतार्थः स्याद्यथाशक्ति कृतादरः
By which, indeed, a person becomes fulfilled, showing reverence according to their ability.
यन्मह्यं कृपया पूर्वमुक्तवान्परमेश्वरः
That which the Supreme Lord previously spoke to me out of compassion.
लूती तंतुकजालानि संसृज्य क्वचिदेव मे
A spider, weaving webs of threads, appears at certain places for me.
गजः कश्चितृषाक्रांतो विमुच्य च मधु क्वचित्
An elephant, overcome by thirst, releases honey in some places.
कृमयो विलुठन्तो मे पार्श्वे दुरितवर्जिताः
Worms crawl beside me, free from sin.
अव्युच्छिन्नप्रदीपार्चिः क्षणमप्यादधाति यः
Whoever keeps the lamp's flame unbroken, even for a moment.
हारीतः कोपि संप्राप्तः शाखानीडो ममांतिके
A green bird has arrived, nesting in a branch near me.
गावः प्रस्रवणैः सिक्ता वत्सस्मरणसंभवैः 1.3.1.9.
Cows are sprinkled by streams, arising from the memory of their calves.
काकः पक्षजवातेन बलिग्रहणलोलुपः
A crow, eager to seize offerings, is driven by the wind of its wings.
मूषको मद्गुहाभागं मणिसंघविकर्षणैः
A mouse, in my cave, drags clusters of jewels.
छायावृक्षत्वमास्थातुं मुनयस्त्रिदशा अपि
Even sages and gods desire to assume the form of a shade-giving tree.
गोपुरं शिखरं शालां मण्डपं वापिकामपि
The tower, the peak, the hall, the pavilion, and even the pond.
सदा मर्त्त्यैरनासाद्यमग्निलिंगमिदं मम
This fiery linga of mine is always unattainable by mortals.
वीक्षणस्पर्शनध्यानैः स्वभूतं निखिलं जगत्
By sight, touch, and meditation, the entire world becomes my own being.
सर्वलोकैकजननी संप्राप्ता नित्ययौवनम्
The sole mother of all worlds has attained eternal youth.
क्षणात्तस्य पुरोभागे वसतां प्राणिनामिह
In an instant, before him, as living beings dwelled here,
अप्रमेयगुणाधारमपेक्षितवरप्रदम्
He is the support of immeasurable virtues, the giver of desired boons to those who seek him.
लब्धकामा पुनः शम्भुमाश्रयिष्यसि सुव्रते 1.3.1.9.
Having attained your wish, O virtuous one, you will again take refuge in Śambhu.
न केवलं तव तपः स्ववांछितफलप्रदम्
Not only does your austerity grant the fruit you desire,
कारणांतरमाशंक्य तपः कुर्वंति देवताः
But the gods also perform austerities, suspecting some other reason.
वयं च सहसंवासास्तव व्रतनिरीक्षणात्
And we too, dwelling together with you, observing your vow,
इति तस्य मुनेर्वाक्यमर्थगर्भं निशम्य सा
Thus, hearing the sage’s words, full of meaning, she
तपः किमन्यत्कर्तव्यं लब्धं तव तु दर्शनम्
What other austerity should be done, now that your vision has been gained?
अहो भूमेस्तु वैचित्र्यं यतो दृष्टा दिवोऽधिका
Oh, the wonder of the earth, for by it, sights greater than heaven have been seen.
शिवः प्रसादसिद्धो मे दर्शितं स्थानमात्मनः
By Śiva’s grace, my wish is fulfilled; the place of my own self has been revealed.
