मत्प्रदक्षिणकर्तॄणां जायंते सततं शुभाः
For those who perform my circumambulation, auspicious things always arise.
क्षिकारात्क्षीयते कर्म णकारो मुक्तिदायकः
By the syllable 'kṣi', karma is diminished; the syllable 'ṇa' grants liberation.
मम प्रदक्षिणं कृत्वा मुच्यंते सर्वदुष्कृतैः
Having performed my circumambulation, they are freed from all misdeeds.
क्षणेन साध्वां पश्यामि त्रैलोक्यस्य प्रदक्षिणाम् 1.3.1.9.
In a moment, O virtuous one, I see the circumambulation of the three worlds.
मम प्रदक्षिणां कृत्वा स्थिरा राज्ये पुराऽभवन्
Having performed circumambulation of me, they formerly became steadfast in their rule.
उत्तरायणसंयोगे करोमि स्वप्रदक्षिणाम्
At the conjunction of the Uttarāyaṇa, I perform my own circumambulation.
त्रैलोक्यस्य हितार्थाय करिष्यामि प्रदक्षिणाम्
For the welfare of the three worlds, I shall perform circumambulation.
कर्तुं प्रदक्षिणं कृत्वा मामेष्यत्यनघा पुनः
Having performed circumambulation, the sinless one will again approach me.
मम प्रदक्षिणां गौरी प्रदोषे रचयिष्यति
Gaurī will arrange my circumambulation at dusk.
ज्योतिर्लिगस्य दृष्टस्य देवी प्रार्थनया तथा
Thus, by the prayer of the goddess upon seeing the Jyotirliṅga.
आश्वास्यति सुरान्सर्वानुत्तरायणसंगमे
She will reassure all the gods at the conjunction of Uttarāyaṇa.
सर्वेषां देवयोनीनां भविता तत्र संगमः
There will be a gathering of all divine lineages there.
सर्वजन्मकृताघौघ प्रायश्चित्तं व्रजंति ते
They attain atonement for the mass of sins caused by all births.
तदा मद्रूपमभ्यर्च्य कृतार्थाः सन्तु मानवाः 1.3.1.9.
Then, having worshipped my form, let humans become fulfilled in their aims.
तेषां पुरोगतः साक्षादहं जेष्यामि विद्विषः
I myself will go ahead of them and conquer their enemies.
तस्य तस्य स्थिरं राज्यं शत्रूणां च पराहतिम्
For each, there will be stable rule and defeat of their enemies.
न वाहनेन कुर्वीत मम जातु प्रदक्षिणाम्
One should never perform my circumambulation by means of a vehicle.
धर्मकेतुः पुरा राजा यमलोकादुपागतः
Once, King Dharmaketu came from the realm of Yama.
क्षणेन तुरगो जातो गणनाथः सुरार्चितः
In a moment, a horse was born, and Gaṇanātha was worshipped by the gods.
वीक्ष्य तं वाहनं भूयो गणनाथवपुर्द्धरम्
Seeing that vehicle again, bearing the form of Gaṇanātha,
तदाप्रभृति शक्राद्याः सुरा विष्णुसमन्विताः
From that time onward, the gods led by Śakra, accompanied by Viṣṇu,
स्वर्गान्निपातितः कोऽपि सिद्धः काले तपःक्षयात्
Some Siddha, having fallen from heaven at the time of the exhaustion of austerities,
स्खलितं पादजं रक्तं मम कर्तुः प्रदक्षिणम् 1.3.1.9.
The blood from my wounded foot has circled my creator.
प्रदक्षिणमहावीथी शिलाशकलघट्टितम्
The great circumambulatory path is struck by fragments of stone.
मणिपर्वतशृंगेषु कल्पद्रुमवनांतरे
Within the groves of wish-fulfilling trees on the jeweled mountain peaks.
यैर्वै जनः कृतार्थः स्याद्यथाशक्ति कृतादरः
By which, indeed, a person becomes fulfilled, showing reverence according to their ability.
यन्मह्यं कृपया पूर्वमुक्तवान्परमेश्वरः
That which the Supreme Lord previously spoke to me out of compassion.
लूती तंतुकजालानि संसृज्य क्वचिदेव मे
A spider, weaving webs of threads, appears at certain places for me.
गजः कश्चितृषाक्रांतो विमुच्य च मधु क्वचित्
An elephant, overcome by thirst, releases honey in some places.
कृमयो विलुठन्तो मे पार्श्वे दुरितवर्जिताः
Worms crawl beside me, free from sin.
