तस्यार्चनेन रत्नौघैर्न वियुज्येत कर्हिचित्
By worshipping her, one is never deprived of a multitude of jewels.
संसेव्य परमं ज्ञानं लभेदद्यापि साधकः
By serving the supreme knowledge, even today a practitioner attains it.
अघोरोद इति ख्यातो वाजिमेधफलप्रदः
He is known as Aghoroda, bestower of the fruit of the horse sacrifice.
अनेनैवेह देहेन यत्र तौ सिद्धिमापतुः
With this very body, those two attained perfection here.
तद्दक्षिणे महाकुंडं रुद्रावास इति स्मृतम्
To the south of that is the great pit, remembered as Rudra's abode.
चतुर्दशी यदापर्णे रुद्रनक्षत्र संयुता 4.2.97.
When the fourteenth day falls with the Rudra constellation, O Aparna.
रुद्रकुंडे नरः स्नात्वा दृष्ट्वा रुद्रेश्वरं विभुम्
A man, having bathed in Rudra's pit and seen the glorious Rudreśvara,
रुद्रस्य नैर्ऋते भागे लिंगं तत्र महालयम्
In the southwest part of Rudra, there is the great abode of the liṅga.
तत्र श्राद्धं नरः कृत्वा पिंडान्कूपे परिक्षिपेत्
There, a man should perform śrāddha and cast the offerings into the well.
तत्र वैतरणी नाम दीर्घिका पश्चिमानना
There is a pond named Vaitaraṇī, facing west.
बृहस्पतीश्वरं लिंगं रुद्रकुंडाच्च पश्चिमे
To the west of Rudra's pit is the liṅga of Bṛhaspatīśvara.
रुद्रावासाद्दक्षिणतः कामेशं लिंगमुत्तमम्
To the south of Rudra's abode is the supreme liṅga of Kāmeśa.
चैत्रशुक्ल त्रयोदश्यां तत्र यात्रा च कामदा
On the thirteenth day of the bright half of Caitra, the pilgrimage there grants desires.
अज्ञानध्वांतपटलीं हरतस्तौ समर्चितौ
Those two, when worshipped, remove the dense darkness of ignorance.
तत्र सिद्धीश्वरं लिंगं महासिद्धिसमर्पकम् 4.2.97.
There is the liṅga of Siddhīśvara, bestower of great accomplishments.
चामरासक्तहस्ताभिर्दिव्यस्त्रीभिश्च वीज्यते तदा तेनैव मार्गेण यांति स्त्रीभिर्वृताः सुखम् ।।4.2.97.
Fanned by divine women with hands adorned with fly-whisks, they proceed happily along that path, surrounded by women.
स्वर्गद्वारमतः ख्यातं तत्स्थानं मुनिसत्तम
Therefore, O best of sages, that place is known as the gate to heaven.
आग्नेयं नाम कुंडं च तत्पूर्वेग्निसलोकदम् 4.2.97.
There is a pit named Āgneya, in the east, granting the world of fire.
अपराधसहस्रं तु नश्येत्तस्य समर्चनात् ।। 4.2.97.
By worshipping him, a thousand offenses are destroyed.
तदुत्तरे हलीशेशः सर्वव्याधिनिपूदनः 4.2.97.
Next is Halīśeśa, who eradicates all diseases.
तत्र जागरणं कृत्वाऽशोकाष्टम्यां मधौ नरः 4.2.97.
There, on the eighth day of the bright fortnight in the month of Madhu, a person should keep vigil.
तदुत्तरे मतंगेशो गानविद्याप्रबोधकः 4.2.97.
Next is Mataṃgeśa, who awakens knowledge of music.
ग्रहणानंतरे स्नानं दंडखातेति पुण्यदम् 4.2.97.
After the eclipse, bathing in the Daṃḍakhāta grants merit.
तदग्रे च कणादेशस्तत्र पुण्योदकः प्रहिः
Before that is Kaṇādeśa, where the water is sacred and pure.
तदीशानेवधूतेशो योगज्ञानप्रवर्तकः 4.2.97.
Then comes Dhūteśa, lord of the directions, who initiates yogic wisdom.
तदुत्तरे चर्चिकाया देव्याः संदर्शनं शुभम् 4.2.97.
Next is the auspicious vision of the goddess Carcikā.
तदुत्तरे पांडवानां पंचलिंगानि सन्मुदे
Beyond that are the five sacred liṅgas of the Pāṇḍavas.
चित्रगुप्तेश्वरं लिंगं तदुदीच्यामघापहम् 4.2.97.
The liṅga of Citragupta, situated to the north, removes sin.
तदग्रे तारकेशश्च तदग्रे स्वर्णभारदः 4.2.97.
Ahead is Tārakeśa, and next is Svarṇabhārada.
देवस्य दक्षिणे भागे तत्र वापी शुभोदका 4.2.97.
On the southern side of the deity, there is a pond with auspicious water.
