ततो वै कलितीर्थं च कलशेश्वरसन्निधौ
Then comes the Kalitīrtha, near Kalaśeśvara.
चंद्रतीर्थं च तत्रैव चंद्रेश्वरसमीपतः
There also is the Candratīrtha, close to Candeśvara.
तदग्रे वीरतीर्थं च वीरेश्वर समीपतः
Ahead is the Vīratīrtha, near Vīreśvara.
विघ्नेशतीर्थं च ततः सर्वविघ्नविघातकृत्
Then comes the Vighneśa tīrtha, which removes all obstacles.
हरिश्चंद्रस्य राजर्षस्ततस्तीर्थमनुत्तमम्
Then comes the supreme pilgrimage site of the royal sage Hariśchandra.
हरिश्चंद्रस्य तीर्थे तु यच्छ्रेयः समुपार्जितम् 4.2.84.
At the pilgrimage site of Hariśchandra, whatever merit is attained—
ततः पर्वततीर्थं च पर्वतेश समीपतः
After that is the Parvata Tirtha, near the lord of the mountains.
कंबलाश्वतरं तीर्थं तत्र सर्वविषापहम्
There is the Kambalāśvatara Tirtha, which removes all poisons.
ततः सारस्वतं तीर्थं सर्वविद्योपपादकम्
Then comes the Sarasvata Tirtha, which bestows all knowledge.
उमातीर्थं तु तत्रैव सर्वशक्तिसमन्वितम्
There too is the Uma Tirtha, endowed with all powers.
ततस्त्रिलोकी विख्यातं त्रिलोक्युद्धरणक्षमम्
Next is Trilokī, renowned and capable of uplifting the three worlds.
चक्रपुष्करिणीतीर्थं तदादौ विष्णुना कृतम्
The Cakrapuṣkariṇī Tirtha was created there at first by Viṣṇu.
स्वर्गौकसस्त्रिसंध्यं वै जपंति मणिकर्णिकाम्
The dwellers of heaven recite the threefold twilight prayers at Maṇikarṇikā.
यैः श्रुता यैः स्मृता वीर यैर्दृष्टा मणिकर्णिका
O hero, those by whom Maṇikarṇikā has been heard of, remembered, or seen—
त्रिलोके ये जपंतीह मानवा मणिकर्णिकाम्
Those humans in the three worlds who recite at Maṇikarṇikā—
इष्टं तेन महायज्ञैः सहस्रशतदक्षिणैः 4.2.84.
By them, sacrifices with hundreds of thousands of gifts have been accomplished.
महादानानि दत्तानि तेन वै पुण्यकर्मणा
By their meritorious deeds, great gifts have been given.
मणिकर्ण्यंबुभिर्येन तर्पिताः प्रपितामहाः
By whom the ancestors have been satisfied with the waters of Maṇikarṇikā—
मणिकर्णीजलं येन संपीतं शुद्धबुद्धिना
By whom the water of Maṇikarṇikā has been drunk with pure mind—
ते स्नाताः सर्वतीर्थेषु महापर्वसुभूरिशः
They have bathed at all the sacred sites, at great festivals, O lord of riches.
तैः सुराः पूजिताः सर्वे ब्रह्मविष्णुमुखा मखैः
By them, all the gods led by Brahmā and Viṣṇu have been worshipped with sacrifices.
अहं तेनोमया सार्धं दीक्षां संप्राप्य शांभवीम्
With them, along with Umā, I have obtained the Śāmbhava initiation.
तपांसि तेन तप्तानि शीर्णपर्णादिना चिरम्
He practiced austerities for a long time, subsisting on dried leaves and similar things.
दत्त्वा दानानि भूरीणि मखानिष्ट्वा तु भूरिशः
He gave abundant gifts and performed many sacrifices in great measure.
विपुलेत्र महीपृष्ठे पंचक्रोश्यां मनोहरा
On the broad surface of the earth, in the delightful region spanning five krośas.
दानानां च व्रतानां च क्रतूनां तपसामपि 4.2.84.
Of gifts, vows, sacrifices, and even austerities.
एतेषामपि तीर्थानां चतुर्णामपि सत्तम 4.2.84.
Of these four sacred places also, O noble one.
इति वीरेश्वराख्यानं तीर्थाख्यानप्रसंगतः
Thus ends the account of Vīreśvara, connected with the narration of the sacred places.
प्रादुर्भावं निशम्यैषां लिंगानां मुक्तिदायिनाम्
Having heard of the manifestation of those liṅgas which grant liberation.
नितरां परितृप्तोस्मि सुधां पीत्वेव निर्जरः
I am completely satisfied, as if I had drunk nectar like an immortal.
