बाणतीर्थं च तस्यारात्तत्सहस्रभुजप्रदम्
There is also the Bāṇa sacred site nearby, which grants a thousand arms.
गोप्रतारेश्वरं नाम तदग्रे तीर्थमुत्तमम्
Ahead lies the excellent sacred site named Gopratāreśvara.
तीर्थं हिरण्यगर्भाख्यं तद्याम्ये सर्वपापहृत्
In the southern direction is the sacred site called Hiraṇyagarbha, which removes all sins.
ततः प्रणवतीर्थं च सर्वतीर्थोत्तमोत्तमम्
Then comes the Praṇava sacred site, the most supreme among all sacred sites.
ततः पिशंगिला तीर्थं दर्शनादपि पापहृत्
Next is the Piśaṃgilā sacred site, which removes sin even by being seen.
स्नात्वा पिशंगिला तीर्थे दत्त्वा दानं च किंचन 4.2.84.
One who bathes at the Piśaṃgilā sacred site and gives any donation there—
यो वै पिशंगिला तीर्थे स्नात्वा मामर्चयिष्यति
Whoever bathes at the Piśaṃgilā sacred site and worships me—
ततस्त्रैविष्टपीदृष्टि निर्मलीकृत पुष्कलम्
Afterwards, he sees the heavenly realm, purified and abundant.
महतीं श्रियमाप्नोति मानवोतीव निश्चलाम्
He attains great and unwavering prosperity, truly enduring.
ततो नागेश्वरं तीर्थं महाघपरिशोधनम्
Then comes the holy place Nāgeśvara, which thoroughly removes great sins.
तद्दक्षिणे महापुण्यं कर्णादित्याख्यमुत्तमम्
To the south of that is the most excellent and highly meritorious Karṇāditya.
ततो भैरवतीर्थं च महाघौघक्षयप्रदम्
Then is the Bhairava Tīrtha, which grants the destruction of great heaps of sin.
भौमाष्टम्यां तत्र नरः स्नात्वा संतर्पयेत्पितॄन्
On the eighth lunar day, if a man bathes there and offers oblations to the ancestors,
तीर्थं खर्वनृसिंहाख्यं तीर्थाद्भरवतः पुरः
There is the holy place called Kharva-Nṛsiṃha, situated before the Bhairava Tīrtha.
मृकंडस्य मुनेस्तीर्थं तद्याम्यामतिनिर्मलम
There is the tīrtha of the sage Mṛkaṇḍa, exceedingly pure and facing south.
ततः पंचनदाख्यं वै सर्वतीर्थनिषेवितम् 4.2.84.
Then follows the place called Pañcanada, frequented by all the sacred waters.
ब्रह्मांडोदरवर्तीनि यानि तीर्थानि सर्वतः
All the tīrthas that exist within the cosmic egg are found there.
सर्वदा यत्र सर्वाणि दशम्यादिदिनत्रयम्
At all times, on the three days beginning with the tenth lunar day, all are present there.
भूरिशः सर्वतीर्थानि मध्य काशि पदेपदे
Countless sacred waters are found at every step in the midst of Kāśī.
अप्येकं कार्तिकस्याहस्तत्र वै सफलीकृतम्
Even a single day of Kārtika spent there is rendered fruitful.
सर्वाण्यपि च तीर्थानि युगपत्तुलितान्यपि
Even if all the tīrthas are visited at once,
स्नात्वा पांचनदे तीर्थे दृष्ट्वा वै बिंदुमाधवम्
By bathing at the Pañcanada tīrtha and beholding Bindumādhava,
ततो ज्ञानहदं तीर्थं जडानामपि जाड्यहृत्
Then is the tīrtha called Jñānahrada, which removes dullness even from the dull-witted.
तत्र ज्ञानह्रदे स्नात्वा दृष्ट्वा ज्ञानेश्वरं नरः
There, by bathing in the lake of knowledge and beholding Jñāneśvara, a man—
ततोस्ति मंगलं तीर्थं सर्वामंगलनाशनम्
After that is the Maṅgala tīrtha, which destroys all inauspiciousness.
अमंगलानि नश्येयुर्भवेयुर्मंगलानि च ।। 4.2.84.
Inauspicious things are destroyed, and auspicious things arise.
मयूखमालिनस्तीर्थं तदग्रे मलनाशनम्
Ahead lies the Mayūkhamālin tīrtha, a holy place that destroys impurities.
मखतीर्थं तु तत्रैव मखैश्वर समीपतः
There itself is the Makhatīrtha, situated near the lord of sacrifices.
तत्पार्श्वे बिंदुतीर्थं च परमज्ञानकारणम्
Beside it is the Bindutīrtha, the cause of supreme knowledge.
पिप्पलादस्य च मुनेस्तीर्थं तद्याम्यदिक्स्थितम्
There is also the tīrtha of the sage Pippalāda, located in the southern direction.
