पालयंतु सदान्ये च युक्ताः कापालिका अपि
Let others, including the Kapalikas who are qualified, always maintain it as well.
अव्याहताज्ञमारक्ष्यमिदं स्थानं महीभृताम्
This place of the kings is to be protected, unobstructed and inviolable by command.
अत्र भक्ता वितन्वन्तु शिवकार्यविनिश्चयम्
Here, let the devotees carry out the determined works of Shiva.
यत्तदक्षय्यफलदमारक्ष्यं शिवसेवकैः 1.3.1.8.
That which grants inexhaustible fruit and is to be protected by the servants of Shiva.
सर्वं संपादयिष्यामि तेषां चित्तानुकूलकम्
I will accomplish everything favorable to their minds.
आगमोक्ता च पूजेयं मानुषी निर्मिता यतः
And this worship, as prescribed in the scriptures, is to be performed by humans, as established.
संकल्पितं भवेत्कर्म प्रीतिकृन्मम सेवकैः
The act that is resolved upon by my servants should be performed, pleasing to me.
विधायाभ्यर्चनाभेदाँल्लोकरक्षाकृते मुने
Having established the various forms of worship for the protection of the world, O sage,
सत्राणि विविधान्यत्र कर्तव्यानि सहस्रशः
Here, various sacrifices are to be performed by the thousands.
अव्युच्छिन्नप्रदीपस्य दातारो मम सन्निधौ
Those who offer an unbroken lamp in my presence—
जलजं तरुजं पुष्पं कक्षजं च लतोद्भवम्
Water-born, tree-born, flowers, and those growing in the underbrush and from creepers—
तेषां पुरोगतः साक्षादहं जेष्यामि विद्विषः
I myself will go before them and directly conquer their enemies.
तत्तत्समर्द्धितं रम्यं संभवं ददतेऽत्र मे
Here, each of these splendid and enhanced origins grants me delight.
शिवभक्ता भृशं पूर्णा भविष्यंति न संशयः ।। 1.3.1.8.
Devotees of Shiva, being thoroughly fulfilled, will surely come to be—there is no doubt.
इति शंभुमुखोत्थितं वचः समुपश्रुत्य विधूतकल्मषः
Thus, having heard these words arising from the mouth of Shambhu, his sins were dispelled.
विशेषाच्छ्रोतुमिच्छामि स्थानेऽस्मिन्सुरपूजिते
Especially, I wish to hear about this place, revered by the gods.
दुर्लभान्यल्पपुण्यानां कामदानि सदा भुवि
On earth, things that grant desires are always difficult to obtain for those of little merit.
शोणाद्रीशोऽरुणाद्रीशो देवाधीशो जनप्रियः
He is the Lord of Shonadri, the Lord of Arunadri, the Lord of the gods, beloved by people.
अक्षिपेयामृतेशानः स्त्रीपुंभावप्रदायकः
He is the Lord of immortality who does not cast away, the giver of both female and male forms.
मुखरांघ्रिपतिः श्रीमान्मृडो मृगमदेश्वरः
He is the Lord of eloquent feet, the auspicious one, the gracious, the Lord of musk.
ज्ञानसंबंधनाथश्च श्रीहलाहलसुंदकः
He is the Lord connected with knowledge, the beautiful one with the Halahala poison.
व्यत्यस्तनृत्यद्धृजधृक्सकांतिर्नटनेश्वरः
He is the one who holds the upraised trident while dancing, radiant, the Lord of dancers.
जगन्नाथो महादेवस्त्रिनेत्रस्त्रिपुरांतकः
He is the Lord of the universe, the great god, three-eyed, destroyer of Tripura.
बालमूर्त्तिः क्षमारूपी धर्मरक्षो वृषध्वजः
He is of youthful form, embodiment of forbearance, protector of righteousness, with the bull as his banner.
स्मरांतकोंऽधकरिपुः सिद्धराजो दिगंबरः 1.3.1.9.
He is the destroyer of Kama, enemy of Andhaka, king of the Siddhas, sky-clad.
श्रीपतिः शंकरः स्रष्टा सर्वविद्येश्वरोऽनघः
He is the consort of Shri, Shankara, the creator, lord of all knowledge, sinless.
अरुणो बहुरूपश्च विरूपाक्षोऽक्षराकृतिः
He is Aruna, of many forms, Virupaksha, of imperishable form.
सच्चिदानंदरूपश्च सर्वात्मा जीवधारकः
He is of the nature of existence, consciousness, and bliss; the soul of all; the sustainer of life.
ज्ञानप्रदो मुक्तिदश्च भक्तवांछितदायकः
He is the giver of knowledge, the bestower of liberation, the fulfiller of devotees' desires.
शूली पशुपतिः शंभुः स्वयंभुर्गिरिशो मृडः
He is the wielder of the trident, Lord of creatures, Shambhu, self-born, Lord of the mountain, the gracious one.
