आज्ञापयत्तदा देवो विश्वकर्माणमागतम्
Then the god commanded Viśvakarman, who had arrived.
मंदिरं मम दिव्यं च महामणिगणोज्ज्वलम्
Build for me a divine temple, shining with great jewels.
आबभाषे शिवः श्रीमान्नामभेदार्चनक्रमम्

शृणु तन्मे च ये सृष्टा पूजार्थं परिचारकाः 1.3.1.8.

उत्सवार्थो महादेवः पूज्यो भोगसुतावृतः
For the sake of the festival, the great god is to be worshipped, surrounded by his sons of enjoyment.
सारंगं परशुं विभ्रत्प्रसन्नवदनः सदा
Always bearing the deer and the axe, with a serene countenance.
आभया भासयँल्लोकानविकुण्ठश्रियान्वितः
Radiating fearlessness to the worlds, endowed with unimpeded splendor.
सर्वभूषणसंयुक्ता शृङ्गाररसवर्द्धनी

मदंतिकमलंकुर्वन्भक्ष्यैर्भोज्यैर्बहूदयैः

उत्सवार्था परा शक्तिरंतिकस्थैव पूज्यताम्
For the festival, the supreme power, present nearby, is to be worshipped.
उत्सवार्थं समभ्यर्च्यश्चक्षुरग्रेऽमृतेश्वरः 1.3.1.8.
For the festival, Amṛteśvara is to be worshipped before the eyes.
द्वारे नन्दी महाकालः पुरस्तात्सूर्यसंनिभः
At the door, Nandī and Mahākāla, shining like the sun, stand in front.
दक्षिणे मातरः पूज्या विघ्नशास्तृसमन्विताः
On the right, the Mothers are to be worshipped, accompanied by the removers of obstacles.

क्षेत्रपालं तु संपूज्य सर्वावरणसंयुतम्
The Kṣetrapāla, surrounded by all the enclosures, is to be worshipped.
काली बहुविधाश्चान्या देवता विधिपालकाः
Kālī and many other deities, guardians of the rites.
सृजस्व कन्यका दिव्याः शिवदेवार्हणे रताः ।। 1.3.1.8.
Create divine maidens devoted to the worship of Śiva and the gods.
चारुविभ्रमसंयुक्ताः कामदा नित्यपावनाः
Endowed with charming movements, ever pure, and bestowers of desire.
दिव्योपचारसंसिद्ध्यै सुभगाञ्छुद्धचेतसः
For the attainment of divine service, let there be auspicious ones of pure mind.
शैवाचारप्रसिद्ध्यर्थमादिशाभ्यर्चने मम
For the establishment of Shaiva practice, let them be instructed to worship me first.
शौल्बिकान्सृज सद्विद्यांश्चतुर्विद्याविशारदान्
Appoint Shaulbikas and those skilled in the four branches of true knowledge.
चत्वारश्च मठाः कल्प्याश्चतुर्दिक्तीर्थवासिनाम्
And four monasteries should be established for those dwelling at the sacred fords in the four directions.
तेषु स्थिता मुनींद्रा मे रक्षंतु शिवपूजनम्
In these, let the foremost sages of mine reside, protecting the worship of Shiva.
