अन्वग्रहीदशेषात्मा प्रणतं मां दयानिधिः
The compassionate one, whose essence is all-pervading, showed favor to me as I bowed before him.
आगमोक्तक्रियाभेदैः पूजां मे प्रतिपादय

अरुणाद्रीश्वराभिख्यं संपूजय तपोबलैः
Worship the Lord known as Aruṇādriśvara with the power of your austerities.
रूपं मे दर्शयामास सूक्ष्मलिंगात्मना शिवः 1.3.1.8.
Śiva revealed to me his form as the subtle liṅga.
अशेषाऽऽवरणोपेतं कृतार्थहृदयोऽभवम्
Endowed with all coverings, my heart became fulfilled.
आगमोक्तप्रकाराणामनिरीक्ष्यत्वमागतम्
The forms prescribed in the scriptures became invisible to me.
जानीयां करुणामूर्ते स्वयमीश्वर मत्प्रभो
O embodiment of compassion, O Lord, my master, may I know you myself.
कथं स्तोत्रं कथं पूजा के वात्र परिचारकाः
What is the hymn, what is the worship, and who are the attendants here?
कथं वा मानुषी पूजा नित्या संवर्धते तव
How does human worship of you continually increase?
प्रसीद परमेशान स्वयमाज्ञापयाखिलम्
Be gracious, Supreme Lord, and command everything yourself.
आज्ञापयत्तदा देवो विश्वकर्माणमागतम्
Then the god commanded Viśvakarman, who had arrived.
मंदिरं मम दिव्यं च महामणिगणोज्ज्वलम्
Build for me a divine temple, shining with great jewels.
आबभाषे शिवः श्रीमान्नामभेदार्चनक्रमम्

सारंगं परशुं विभ्रत्प्रसन्नवदनः सदा
Always bearing the deer and the axe, with a serene countenance.
आभया भासयँल्लोकानविकुण्ठश्रियान्वितः
Radiating fearlessness to the worlds, endowed with unimpeded splendor.
सर्वभूषणसंयुक्ता शृङ्गाररसवर्द्धनी
