त्वद्दुष्टदृष्टिविशिखैर्निहतान्निहन्मि दैत्यान्पुरांधकजलंधरमुख्यकांश्च
With the arrows of your fierce gaze, I destroyed demons such as Andhaka and Jalandhara in the past.
अन्वेषणे ढुंढिरयं प्रथितोस्तिधातुः सर्वार्थढुंढिततया तव ढुंढि नाम
In searching, this Dhundhi is renowned as the essence of all; because you are sought for all purposes, you are called Dhundhi.
ढुंढे प्रणम्यपुरतस्तवपादपद्मं यो मां नमस्यति पुमानिह काशिवासी
He who, having bowed to your lotus feet before you, worships me here in Kashi as a man—
स्नात्वा नरः प्रथमतो मणिकर्णिकायामुद्धूलितांघ्रियुगलस्तु सचैलमाशु
A man who first bathes at Manikarnika, and then, with his pair of feet cleansed and clothed, quickly—
सामोदमोदकभरैर्वरधूपदीपैर्माल्यैः सुगंधबहुलैरनुलेपनैश्च
With heaps of fragrant modakas, excellent incense and lamps, garlands, and abundant fragrant ointments—
तीर्थांतराणि च ततः क्रमवर्जितोपि संसाधयन्निह भवत्करुणाकटाक्षैः
Even if he does not visit other sacred places in order, he accomplishes everything here by your compassionate glance.
यः प्रत्यहं नमति ढुं ढिविनायकं त्वां काश्यां प्रगे प्रतिहताखिलविघ्नसंघः
He who bows daily to you, Dhundhi Vinayaka, in Kashi at dawn, finds all obstacles and hindrances removed.
यो नाम ते जपति ढुंढिविनायकस्य तं वै जपंत्यनुदिनं हृदि सिद्धयोष्टौ
Whoever recites your name, O Dhundhi Vinayaka, those eight siddhis themselves recite that name in his heart each day.
दूरे स्थितोप्यहरहस्तव पादपीठं यः संस्मरेत्सकलसिद्धिद ढुंढिराज 4.2.57.
Even one who is far away, who remembers your footstool every day, O Dhundhi Raja, you grant all accomplishments.
जाने विघ्नानसंख्यातान्विनिहंतुमनेकधा
I know you destroy countless obstacles in many ways.
यानि यानि च रूपाणि यत्रयत्र च तेनघ
Whatever forms there are, and wherever they may be, O sinless one,
प्रथमं ढुंढिराजोसि मम दक्षिणतो मनाक्
First, O Dhundhi Raja, you are at my right side.
अंगारवासरवतीमिह यैश्चतुर्थीं संप्राप्य मोदकभरैः परिमोदवद्भिः
Here, on the day of Angara Chaturthi, those who attain Chaturthi rejoice with heaps of modaka sweets.
ये त्वामिह प्रति चतुर्थि समर्चयंति ढुंढे विगाढमतयः कृतिनस्त एव
Those who worship you here on each Chaturthi, O Dhundhi, with deep devotion and wisdom, are indeed accomplished.
माघशुक्लचतुर्थ्यां तु नक्तव्रतपरायणाः
On the bright Chaturthi of Magha, those devoted to the night vow,
विधाय वार्षिकीं यात्रां चतुर्थीं प्राप्य तापसीम्
Having performed the annual pilgrimage, and attained the ascetic Chaturthi,
कार्या यात्रा प्रयत्नेन क्षेत्रसिद्धिमभीप्सुभिः
The pilgrimage must be undertaken with effort by those desiring success in the field.
तां यात्रां नात्रयः कुर्यान्नैवेद्यतिललडुकैः
One should not perform that pilgrimage with offerings of sesame sweets.
होमं तिलाज्यद्रव्येण यः करिष्यति भक्तितः 4.2.57.
Whoever performs the fire offering with sesame and ghee, with devotion,
वैदिकोऽवैदिको वापि यो मंत्रस्ते गजानन
Whether Vedic or non-Vedic, whichever mantra is yours, O elephant-faced one,
इमां स्तुतिं ममकृतिं यः पठिष्यति सन्मतिः
Whoever recites this praise composed by me, with good intention,
ढौंढीं स्तुतिमिमां पुण्यां यः पठेड्ढुंढि संनिधौ
Whoever recites this auspicious Dhundhi hymn in the presence of Dhundhi,
इमां स्तुतिं नरो जप्त्वा परं नियतमानसः
A man who recites this hymn with a controlled mind,
पुत्रान्कलत्रं क्षेत्राणि वराश्वान्वरमंदिरम्
He obtains sons, wife, fields, excellent horses, and a splendid house.
सर्वसंपत्करं नाम स्तोत्रमेतन्मयेरितम्
This hymn, composed by me, is called the bestower of all prosperity.
जप्त्वा स्तोत्रमिदं पुण्यं क्वापि कार्ये गमिष्यतः
Reciting this auspicious hymn before undertaking any task,
अन्यच्च कथयाम्यत्र शृण्वंत्वेते दिवौकसः
Moreover, I shall tell something else here; let these celestial beings listen.
काश्यां गंगासि संभेदे नामतोर्कविनायकः
At the confluence of the Ganga in Kashi, there is the Vinayaka named Torkavinayaka.
दुर्गो नाम गणाध्यक्षः सर्वदुर्गतिनाशनः 4.2.57.
There is Durga, the chief of the Ganas, destroyer of all misfortunes.
भीमचंडी समीपे तु भीमचंडविनायकः
Near Bhimacandi is Bhimacandavinayaka.
