Then, by fate, at the hermitage of a certain sage, resembling the gods,
Having performed various vows such as fasts, O son of a brāhmaṇa,
As a result of the karma of stealing fruit, O monkey, you became born of those two.
And that Nārāyaṇa, the brāhmaṇa, was devoted to serving his parents.
Thus, in another existence also, he was the husband of those two.

By the merit of residing in Avantī and by service to the Three-Eyed One,
Now, having attained that husband, the prince among Vidyādharas,
Even a small virtuous act performed by the people of Avantī brings auspiciousness; in all the three worlds, Avantī city is always the best.
Beyond that is the liṅga with the syllable 'Om', and beyond that, here, is the Three-Eyed One.
Therefore, with every effort, the Three-Eyed One is to be worshipped in Avantī.
Having attained the auspicious form of the liṅga, even more than the three worlds, and having spoken before his mother, they became as if their purpose was fulfilled.

With jeweled lamps, the lord of the Nāgas and Padmī, the king of serpents, having met their son-in-law, the abode of fragrance,
Those relatives, with joyful and blossoming eyes, looked upon one another.
Describing the greatness of the liṅga of the Three-Eyed One, after enjoying Avantī, they reached it and served the Three-Eyed One.
Singing sweet songs, together with the Nāgīs, the accomplished one,
The glory of the Three-Eyed One is concealed by the god in the age of Kali.
Ah! Even one afflicted by sin, upon hearing this tale of the Three-Eyed One,
