Knowing my thoughts, he came to my side.
He set out immediately, swiftly, together with various kinds of attendants.
I was tightly embraced by his arms adorned with clanging bangles.
O wide-eyed one, at that time the bull was drawn by me along with the attendants.
I am now weary, O Lord, frightened by this speed.
For a moment I will go on foot; this great mountain is difficult to cross.
For a moment, resting my lovely hips, I took shelter at the foot of the mountain.
Let us seek out that path where your comfort lies; I have appointed a servant, obedient to your command.
Having spoken thus, O goddess, she then stationed the guardian of the attendants.
Then, looking around, the great mountain appeared exceedingly beautiful.
As I gazed at the lord of mountains, ten years passed by.
Surely he does not know me, scorched not by love, deprived of pleasure.
As Hara wandered somewhere, remembering his enmity, the god of love saw me, lamenting again and again.
Then Kuṇḍa, chief of the attendants, knowing your state of mind,
said, 'Here comes your husband; do not let your heart be troubled.'
'O Kuṇḍa, distressed, I have told you: I do not see Śaṅkara. Show me Mahādeva,' she said to him again and again.
O beautiful one, when I was not revealed by that Kuṇḍa.
Go now to the human world, since Hara was not spoken of.
O goddess, you asked me, 'Having left, where did you go, leaving me behind?'
After going ahead of this mountain, what did you do, O Lord?
This mountain is exceedingly difficult to conquer and impossible to cross from all sides.
By which path, O slender-waisted one, shall we confidently proceed?
You also said, O Mahādeva, 'Kuṇḍa is cursed by me, the attendant; since my command was not obeyed, my word is fruitless.'
Assuming the form of Bhairava, you stood in the north.
By merely seeing him, this attendant will become a leader of attendants.
Thus addressed by you, O goddess, he approached again and again.
He quickly worshipped the liṅga in the great Kāla forest with urgency.
Thus instructed, he arrived at that moment and saw the eternal liṅga.
Then the gods, along with the Gandharvas, Siddhas, and supreme sages.
Then I arrived at that moment, surrounded by you and the attendants.
