At the sacred conjunction of Uttarāyaṇa, she will bring reassurance to all the gods, gathering together the divine lineages in a grand assembly. In that holy presence, the gods find atonement for the multitude of sins accumulated through countless births. Humans, too, after worshipping my form, will find their aims fulfilled. I myself will go before them, conquering their enemies and ensuring that each enjoys stable rule and victory over adversaries. Yet, let it be known: my circumambulation must never be performed with a vehicle. Long ago, King Dharmaketu journeyed from Yama’s realm. In a moment, a horse was born, and Gaṇanātha received the gods’ worship. When that vehicle, bearing Gaṇanātha’s form, appeared again, the gods led by Śakra, with Viṣṇu, joined in reverence. Sometimes, a Siddha, having fallen from heaven as their austerities were exhausted, arrives. My wounded foot’s blood has circled my creator, and the great circumambulatory path is marked by fragments of stone. Within the groves of wish-fulfilling trees atop jeweled mountain peaks, one who shows reverence according to their ability finds fulfillment. The Supreme Lord once spoke to me, out of compassion, revealing profound truths. In certain places, a spider weaves its webs for me; elsewhere, an elephant, thirsty, releases honey. Worms crawl beside me, free from sin. Whoever keeps the lamp’s flame unbroken, even for a moment, gains merit. A green bird has arrived, nesting nearby, while cows are sprinkled by streams born from memories of their calves. A crow, eager for offerings, is driven by the wind of its wings, and a mouse drags clusters of jewels within my cave. Even sages and gods wish to become shade-giving trees, offering shelter. The tower, the peak, the hall, the pavilion, and even the pond—all are sanctified. Yet, my fiery linga remains forever unattainable by mortals. Through sight, touch, and meditation, the whole world becomes my own being. The sole mother of all worlds has attained eternal youth. In an instant, as living beings dwelled here, he appeared—the support of immeasurable virtues, granting desired boons to those who seek him. Having attained your wish, O virtuous one, you will again take refuge in Śambhu. Not only does your austerity yield the fruit you desire, but the gods themselves perform austerities, suspecting some other reason. We, too, dwell together with you, observing your vow. Thus, hearing the sage’s words, so full of meaning, she wondered what further austerity could be needed, now that the vision had been gained. “Oh, wondrous earth! Through you, sights greater than heaven have been seen. By Śiva’s grace, my wish is fulfilled; the place of my own self has been revealed.
