In every corner of the vast, filled universe, all beings have attained the status of planetary lords. One who breaks through the solar orb is released and journeys to the city of Shiva. Having reached agelessness and immortality, such a person remains gracious upon the earth. Freed from all debts, he surely becomes sovereign over all. With omniscience attained, he reaches the lordship of speech. By circumambulating Mount Shona to the right, he becomes a teacher of the worlds. Having obtained great prosperity, he attains the abode of Vishnu. Freed from the afflictions of the planets, he becomes victorious over the universe. For one who performs my circumambulation, merits quickly arise; their actions yield the results they desire, and auspicious things always manifest for them. The syllable 'kṣi' diminishes karma, while 'ṇa' grants liberation. Those who perform my circumambulation are freed from all misdeeds. In a single moment, O virtuous one, I witness the circumambulation of the three worlds. Those who have circumambulated me in the past became steadfast rulers. At the conjunction of Uttarāyaṇa, I myself perform my own circumambulation for the welfare of the three worlds. After performing circumambulation, the sinless one will again approach me. Gaurī will arrange my circumambulation at dusk. Thus, by the prayer of the goddess upon seeing the Jyotirliṅga, she will reassure all the gods at the conjunction of Uttarāyaṇa. There will be a gathering of all divine lineages there, and they will attain atonement for the mass of sins accumulated through countless births. Then, having worshipped my form, let humans become fulfilled in their aims. I myself will go ahead of them and conquer their enemies. For each, there will be stable rule and victory over their foes. However, one should never perform my circumambulation by means of a vehicle. Once, King Dharmaketu came from the realm of Yama. In a moment, a horse was born, and Gaṇanātha was worshipped by the gods. Seeing that vehicle again, bearing the form of Gaṇanātha, from that time onward, the gods led by Śakra, accompanied by Viṣṇu, and even some Siddhas who had fallen from heaven at the exhaustion of their austerities, participated. The blood from my wounded foot has circled my creator. The great circumambulatory path is struck by fragments of stone, within groves of wish-fulfilling trees atop jeweled mountain peaks. There, a person becomes fulfilled, showing reverence according to their ability. All this was spoken to me by the Supreme Lord out of compassion. A spider, weaving webs of threads, appears at certain places for me. An elephant, overcome by thirst, releases honey in some places. Worms crawl beside me, free from sin.
