स्वस्यराजपित्ःणांचशुश्रूषणंचनित्यशः सहस्रजपमात्रेणभवेच्छुद्धो ऽन्यथा ऋणी
By constantly serving one's own father and king, and by reciting a thousand mantras, one becomes pure; otherwise, one remains in debt.
पञ्चाक्षरंपञ्चलक्षंजपेच्छिवमनुस्मरन् पद्मासनस्थंशिवदंगंगाचंद्रकलान्वितम्

जपेत्पञ्चाक्षरींविद्यांप्राङ्मुखः शुद्धकर्मकृत् प्रातःकृष्णचतुर्दश्यां नित्यकर्मसमाप्यच
Facing east, having performed pure acts, one should recite the five-syllable mantra in the morning on the fourteenth lunar day, after completing daily duties.
मनोरमेशुचौदेशेनियतः शुद्धमानसः पञ्चाक्षरस्यमंत्रस्य सहस्रंद्वादशंजपेत्

With water sprinkled by them, he should bathe his own head, thereby obtaining instantly the merit of bathing at thirty-six crore sacred places.
दशांगमन्नंतेषां वैदद्याद्वैभक्तिपूर्वकम् पराबुद्ध्यागुरोः पत्नीमीशानादिक्रमेण तु
He should give them food consisting of ten kinds of dishes, with devotion, and to the teacher's wife as well, in order, beginning with Ishana.
परमान्नेनसंपूज्ययथाविभवविस्तरम् रुद्राक्षवस्त्रपूर्वंचवटकापूपकैर्युतम्
He should honor them with the best food according to his means, preceded by rudraksha, cloth, and accompanied by cakes and sweetmeats.
बलिदानंततः कृत्वाभूरिभोजनमाचरेत् ततः संप्रार्थ्यदेवेशंजपंतावत्समापयेत्
After making the offering, he should arrange a great feast; then, having prayed to the Lord, he should complete the recitation.
पुरश्चरणमेवंतुकृत्वामन्त्रीभवेन्नरः पुनश्चपञ्च लक्षेणसर्वपापक्षयोभवेत्
Thus, by performing the prescribed rite, a man becomes a true practitioner; and by reciting five hundred thousand times again, all sins are destroyed.
अतलादिसमारभ्यसत्यलोकावधिक्रमात् पञ्चलक्षजपात्तत्तल्लोकैश्वर्यमवाप्नुयात्
Beginning from Atala and proceeding up to Satyaloka, by reciting five hundred thousand times, he attains the lordship of each respective world.

Again, after five hundred thousand (recitations), he attains likeness and lordship; and after a hundred million (recitations), he becomes directly equal to Brahma.
कार्यब्रह्मण एवं हि सायुज्यंप्रतिपद्य वै यथेष्टंभोगमाप्नोतितद्ब्रह्मप्रलयावधि
Thus, having attained union with the functional Brahma, he enjoys as he wishes until the dissolution of Brahma.
पुनः कल्पांतरेवृत्ते ब्रह्मपुत्रः सजायते पुनश्चतपसादीप्तःक्रमान्मुक्तोभविष्यति
When another kalpa arises, he is born as a son of Brahma; and again, blazing with asceticism, he will gradually become liberated.
पृथ्व्यादिकार्यभूतेभ्योलोकावैनिर्मिताःक्रमात् पातालादि च सत्यांतंब्रह्मलोकाश्चतुर्दश
The worlds, beginning with Patala and ending with Satya, fourteen in number, are successively created from the elements like earth, which are effects.
सत्यादूर्ध्वंक्षमांतंवैविष्णुलोकाश्चतुर्दश क्षमलोकेकार्यविष्णुर्वैकुंठेवरपत्तने
Above Satya and down to the earth are the fourteen worlds of Vishnu; in the world of earth, the functional Vishnu abides in the excellent city of Vaikuntha.
कार्यलक्ष्म्यामहाभोगिरक्षांकृत्वा ऽधितिष्ठति तदूर्ध्वगाश्चाशुच्यंतालोकाष्टाविंशतिः स्थिताः
Having assumed the form of great enjoyment with the functional Lakshmi, he protects and abides there; above that are twenty-eight worlds, ending with Ashuci, established.
शुचौलोकेतुकैलासेरुद्रोवैभूतहृत्स्थितः षडुत्तराश्चपञ्चाशदहिंसांतास्तदूर्ध्वगाः
In the world of Shuchi, on Kailasa, Rudra abides, possessing great glory; and above that, fifty-six worlds, peaceful and non-violent, are established.
अहिंसालोकमास्थायज्ञानकैलासकेपुरे कार्येश्वरस्तिरोभावंसर्वान्कृत्वाधितिष्ठति
Residing in the world of non-violence, in the city of Jnana-Kailasa, the functional Lord, having concealed all, abides there.
तदंतेकालचक्रंहिकालातीतस्ततःपरम् शिवेनाधिष्ठितस्तत्रकालश्चक्रेश्वराह्वयः
At the end of that, there is the wheel of time; beyond time is that which is further, presided over there by Shiva, where Time is called the Lord of the Wheel.
माहिषं धर्ममास्थायसर्वान्कालेन युंजति असत्यश्चाशुचिश्चैव हिंसाचैवाथनिर्घृणा
Assuming the buffalo-dharma, he binds all by time; and falsehood, impurity, violence, and cruelty are present.
असत्यादिचतुष्पादःसर्वांशः कामरूपधृक् नास्तिक्यलक्ष्मीर्दुःसंगोवेदबाह्यध्वनिःसदा
Falsehood and the other fourfold vices, all forms assumed at will, atheism, poverty, evil association, and always the sound outside the Veda.
