Sindhu, Sarayū, and Revā are also declared as the seven Gangās; after that, the seashore is ten times greater, and then the mountaintop is ten times greater than that.
Above all, that place should be known as superior where the mind finds delight; in such a place, the full fruit of sacrifices, gifts, and the like is to be known.
In the Kṛta Yuga, the full fruit is obtained; in the Tretā Yuga, three-fourths is always remembered; in the Dvāpara, half; in the Kali Yuga, a quarter is to be known, and less than a quarter above that.

Then, at the time of a solar eclipse, which is considered the best of all times, it is known that the sun, the form of the world, is afflicted by poison, and that this removes disease.

He who, being pure himself, gives wealth in this world for the sake of another, is truly a purified soul and worthy to protect men through sacrifice.

That which is given to one who serves yields the fruit of reaching his feet; but giving to a brāhmaṇa merely by birth, if he is destitute, is praised by the best of twice-born.
