इंद्रजिच्चंद्रसेनानीस्तारकासुरजित्तथा शैलानां मेरुमुख्यानां वेधकश्च स्वतेजसा
Conqueror of Indrajit and Candraśena's armies, victor over Tārakāsura, who by his own brilliance pierced the foremost of mountains, Meru and others—
तप्तचामीकरप्रख्यः शतपत्रदलेक्षणः कुमारस्सुकुमाराणां रूपोदाहरणं महत्
Resplendent like molten gold, with eyes like lotus petals, Kumāra, the very model of beauty among the most handsome—
शिवप्रियः शिवासक्तः शिवपदार्चकस्सदा सत्कृत्य शिवयोराज्ञां स मे दिशतु कांक्षितम्
Dear to Śiva, devoted to Śiva, always worshipping the feet of Śiva—may he, honoring the command of Śiva and Pārvatī, grant me what I desire.
ज्येष्ठा वरिष्ठा वरदा शिवयोर्यजनेरता तयोराज्ञां पुरस्कृत्य सा मे दिशतु कांक्षितम्
The eldest, the most excellent, the bestower of boons, devoted to the worship of Śiva and Pārvatī—may she, having received their command, grant me what I desire.
त्रैलोक्यवंदिता साक्षादुल्काकारा गणांबिका जगत्सृष्टिविवृद्ध्यर्थं ब्रह्मणा ऽभ्यर्थिता शिवात्
Revered by the three worlds, manifest before all, Gaṇāmbikā, taking the form of a meteor, was requested by Brahmā from Śiva for the creation and growth of the universe.
शिवायाः प्रविभक्ताया भ्रुवोरन्तरनिस्सृताः दक्षायणी सती मेना तथा हैमवती ह्युमा
From Śivā, divided, emerging from between her brows: Dakṣāyaṇī, Satī, Menā, likewise Haimavatī and Umā—
कौशिक्याश्चैव जननी भद्रकाल्यास्तथैव च अपर्णायाश्च जननी पाटलायास्तथैव च
And also the mother of Kauśikī, likewise of Bhadrakālī, and the mother of Aparṇā, and also of Pāṭalā—
शिवार्चनरता नित्यं रुद्राणी रुद्रवल्लभा सत्कृट्य शिवयोराज्ञां सा मे दिशतु कांक्षितम्
Always devoted to the worship of Śiva, Rudrāṇī, beloved of Rudra—may she, honoring the command of Śiva and Pārvatī, grant me what I desire.
चंडः सर्वगणेशानः शंभोर्वदनसंभवः सत्कृत्य शिवयोराज्ञां स मे दिशतु कांक्षितम्
Caṇḍa, lord of all the gaṇas, born from the face of Śambhu—may he, honoring the command of Śiva and Pārvatī, grant me what I desire.
पिंगलो गणपः श्रीमाञ्छिवासक्तः शिवप्रियः आज्ञया शिवयोरेव स मे कामं प्रयच्छतु
Piṅgala, the illustrious gaṇa, devoted to Śiva, dear to Śiva—may he, by the command of Śiva and Pārvatī, grant me my desire.
भृंगीशो नाम गणपः शिवराधनतत्परः प्रयच्छतु स मे कामं पत्युराज्ञा पुरःसरम्
May Bhringi, the leader of the ganas, ever devoted to the worship of Shiva, grant me my desire, in accordance with the command of my Lord.
वीरभद्रो महातेजा हिमकुंदेंदुसन्निभः भद्रकालीप्रियो नित्यं मात्ःणां चाभिरक्षिता
Virabhadra, of great brilliance, white as snow and the autumn moon, ever dear to Bhadrakali and always protected by the Mothers—
यज्ञस्य च शिरोहर्ता दक्षस्य च दुरात्मनः उपेंद्रेंद्रयमादीनां देवानामंगतक्षकः
He who severed the head of the sacrifice and of the wicked Daksha, who wounded the limbs of gods like Indra, Upendra, and Yama—
शिवस्यानुचरः श्रीमाञ्छिवशासनपालकः शिवयोः शासनादेव स मे दिशतु कांक्षितम्
The illustrious attendant of Shiva, guardian of Shiva’s commands—may he, by the order of Shiva and Parvati, grant me what I desire.
सरस्वती महेशस्य वाक्सरोजसमुद्भवा शिवयोः पूजने सक्ता स मे दिशतु कांक्षितम्
Sarasvati, born from the lotus of the great Lord’s speech, devoted to the worship of Shiva and Parvati—may she grant me what I desire.
विष्णोर्वक्षःस्थिता लक्ष्मीः शिवयोः पूजने रता शिवयोः शासनादेव सा मे दिशतु कांक्षितम्
Lakshmi, abiding on Vishnu’s chest, delighting in the worship of Shiva and Parvati—by their command, may she grant me what I desire.
महामोटी महादेव्याः पादपूजापरायणा तस्या एव नियोगेन सा मे दिशतु कांक्षितम्
Mahāmoti, devoted to the worship of the feet of the great Goddess—by her command alone, may she grant me what I desire.
कौशिकी सिंहमारूढा पार्वत्याः परमा सुता विष्णोर्निद्रामहामाया महामहिषमर्दिनी
Kaushiki, mounted on a lion, supreme daughter of Parvati, the great sleep of Vishnu, the great illusion, the slayer of Mahishasura—
निशंभशुंभसंहत्री मधुमांसासवप्रिया सत्कृत्य शासनं मातुस्सा मे दिशतु कांक्षितम्
Destroyer of Nishumbha and Shumbha, fond of honey, meat, and wine—may she, honoring the command of the Mother, grant me what I desire.
रुद्रा रुद्रसमप्रख्याः प्रथमाः प्रथितौजसः भूताख्याश्च महावीर्या महादेवसमप्रभाः
The Rudranis, equal in splendor to Rudra, foremost and renowned for their might, and the beings called Bhutas, of great power and radiance like Mahadeva—
नित्यमुक्ता निरुपमा निर्द्वन्द्वा निरुपप्लवाः सशक्तयस्सानुचरास्सर्वलोकनमस्कृताः
Ever-liberated, incomparable, free from duality and disturbance, endowed with power, accompanied by followers, and honored by all worlds—
सर्वेषामेव लोकानां सृष्टिसंहरणक्षमाः परस्परानुरक्ताश्च परस्परमनुव्रताः
Capable of creation and destruction of all worlds, mutually devoted and faithful to each other—
परस्परमतिस्निग्धाः परस्परनमस्कृताः शिवप्रियतमा नित्यं शिवलक्षणलक्षिताः
Deeply affectionate to one another, mutually reverent, ever most dear to Shiva, and marked by the signs of Shiva—
सौम्याधारास्तथा मिश्राश्चांतरालद्वयात्मिकाः विरूपाश्च सुरूपाश्च नानारूपधरास्तथा
Gentle, fierce, and of mixed natures, possessing the essence of non-duality, both formless and beautiful, assuming various forms—
सत्कृत्य शिवयोराज्ञां ते मे कामं दिशंतु वै देव्या प्रियसखीवर्गो देवीलक्षणलक्षितः
May the circle of the Goddess’s dear friends, adorned with the marks of the Goddess, honoring the command of Shiva and Parvati, grant me my desire.
सहितो रुद्रकन्याभिः शक्तिभिश्चाप्यनेकशः तृतीयावरणे शंभोर्भक्त्या नित्यं समर्चितः
Accompanied by the daughters of Rudra and by many Shaktis, ever worshipped with devotion in the third enclosure of Shambhu—
सत्कृत्य शिवयोराज्ञां स मे दिशतु मंगलम् दिवाकरो महेशस्य मूर्तिर्दीप्तिसुमंडलः
May the radiant Sun, the form of the great Lord, with a brilliant circle of light, honoring the command of Shiva and Parvati, grant me auspiciousness.
निर्गुणो गुणसंकीर्णस्तथैव गुणकेवलः अविकारात्मकश्चाद्य एकस्सामान्यविक्रियः
He is without qualities, yet mixed with qualities, and also solely composed of qualities; unchanging in nature, the original one, unique, and unaffected by common change.
असाधारणकर्मा च सृष्टिस्थितिलयक्रमात् एवं त्रिधा चतुर्धा च विभक्ताः पञ्चधा पुनः
And the distinctive actions, according to the sequence of creation, preservation, and dissolution, are thus divided threefold, fourfold, and again fivefold.
चतुर्थावरणे शंभोः पूजितश्चानुगैः सह शिवप्रियः शिवासक्तः शिवपादार्चने रतः
