शिवस्य तु शिवायाश्च हृन्मूर्तिशिवभाविते तयोराज्ञां पुरस्कृत्य ते मे कामं प्रयच्छताम्
Of Shiva and of Shakti, whose heart-forms are imbued with Shiva's essence, having received their command, may they grant my desire.
शिवस्य च शिवायाश्च शिखामूर्तिशिवाश्रिते सत्कृत्य शिवयोराज्ञां ते मे कामं प्रयच्छताम्
Of Shiva and of Shakti, whose crest-forms are established in Shiva, having honored the command of both, may they grant my desire.
शिवस्य च शिवायाश्च वर्मणा शिवभाविते सत्कृत्य शिवयोराज्ञां ते मे कामं प्रयच्छताम्
Of Shiva and of Shakti, whose armor is imbued with Shiva's essence, having honored the command of both, may they grant my desire.
शिवस्य च शिवायाश्च नेत्रमूर्तिशिवाश्रिते सत्कृत्य शिवयोराज्ञां ते मे कामं प्रयच्छताम्
Of Shiva and of Shakti, whose eye-forms are established in Shiva, having honored the command of both, may they grant my desire.
अस्त्रमूर्ती च शिवयोर्नित्यमर्चनतत्परे सत्कृत्य शिवयोराज्ञां ते मे कामं प्रयच्छताम्
He who is the embodiment of weapons, ever devoted to the worship of Shiva, having duly honored the command of Shiva, may he grant me my desire.
वामौ ज्येष्ठस्तथा रुद्रः कालो विकरणस्तथा बलो विकरणश्चैव बलप्रमथनः परः
Vama, Jyeshtha, Rudra, Kala, Vikaraṇa, Bala, Vikaraṇa again, and Balapramathana the supreme—
सर्वभूतस्य दमनस्तादृशाश्चाष्टशक्तयः प्रार्थितं मे प्रयच्छंतु शिवयोरेव शासनात्
The subduers of all beings, these eight powers of such kind, may they grant me what I seek, by the command of Shiva alone.
अथानंतश्च सूक्ष्मश्च शिवश्चाप्येकनेत्रकः एक रुद्राख्यमर्तिश्च श्रीकण्ठश्च शिखंडकः
Then Ananta, Sukshma, Shiva with a single eye, Eka, Rudra, Amarti, Shrikantha, and Shikhandaka—
तथाष्टौ शक्तयस्तेषां द्वितीयावरणे ऽर्चिताः ते मे कामं प्रयच्छंतु शिवयोरेव शासनात्
Likewise, these eight powers, worshipped in the second enclosure, may they grant me my desire, by the command of Shiva alone.
भवाद्या मूर्तयश्चाष्टौ तासामपि च शक्तयः महादेवादयश्चान्ये तथैकादशमूर्तयः
The eight forms beginning with Bhava, and their powers as well, and others such as Mahadeva, and the eleven forms—
शक्तिभिस्सहितास्सर्वे तृतीयावरणे स्थिताः सत्कृत्य शिवयोराज्ञां दिशंतु फलमीप्सितम्
All of them, together with their powers, are stationed in the third enclosure; having duly honored the command of Shiva, may they grant the desired fruit.
वृक्षराजो महातेजा महामेघसमस्वनः मेरुमंदरकैलासहिमाद्रिशिखरोपमः
The lord of trees, of great splendor, whose voice is like a great cloud, resembling the peaks of Meru, Mandara, Kailasa, and Himadri—
सिताभ्रशिखराकारः ककुदा परिशोभितः महाभोगींद्रकल्पेन वालेन च विराजितः
With a form like the summit of a white cloud, adorned with a prominent hump, splendid with a tail like the great serpent king—
रक्तास्यशृंगचरणौ रक्तप्रायविलोचनः पीवरोन्नतसर्वांगस्सुचारुगमनोज्ज्वलः
With red mouth, horns, and feet, eyes mostly red, stout and tall in all limbs, graceful in movement, and radiant—
प्रशस्तलक्षणः श्रीमान्प्रज्वलन्मणिभूषणः शिवप्रियः शिवासक्तः शिवयोर्ध्वजवाहनः
Endowed with auspicious marks, glorious, adorned with blazing jewels, dear to Shiva, attached to Shiva, the banner-bearer of Shiva—
तथा तच्चरणन्यासपावितापरविग्रहः गोराजपुरुषः श्रीमाञ्छ्रीमच्छूलवरायुधः तयोराज्ञां पुरस्कृत्य स मे कामं प्रयच्छतु
Thus, whose body is purified by the touch of his feet, the king of bulls, illustrious, bearing the blessed trident and best of weapons, having placed the command of them both first, may he grant me my desire.
नन्दीश्वरो महातेजा नगेन्द्रतनयात्मजः सनारायणकैर्देवैर्नित्यमभ्यर्च्य वंदितः
Nandishvara, of great splendor, son of the mountain's daughter, ever worshipped and praised by the gods along with Narayana and others—
शर्वस्यांतःपुरद्वारि सार्धं परिजनैः स्थितः सर्वेश्वरसमप्रख्यस्सर्वासुरविमर्दनः
Standing at the door of Sharva's inner palace, together with his attendants, equal in glory to the Lord of all, destroyer of all demons—
सर्वेषां शिवधर्माणामध्यक्षत्वे ऽभिषेचितः शिवप्रियश्शिवासक्तश्श्रीमच्छूलवरायुधः
Consecrated as overseer of all the duties of Shiva, dear to Shiva, attached to Shiva, illustrious, bearing the trident and best of weapons—
शिवाश्रितेषु संसक्तस्त्वनुरक्तश्च तैरपि सत्कृत्य शिवयोराज्ञां स मे कामं प्रयच्छतु
Devoted to those who take refuge in Shiva, loved by them as well, having duly honored the command of Shiva, may he grant me my desire.
महाकालो महाबाहुर्महादेव इवापरः
Mahakala, mighty-armed, another like Mahadeva—
शिवप्रियः शिवासक्तश्शिवयोरर्चकस्सदा सत्कृत्य शिवयोराज्ञां स मे दिशतु कांक्षितम्
Dear to Shiva, attached to Shiva, always a worshipper of Shiva, having duly honored the command of Shiva, may he grant me what I desire.
सर्वशास्त्रार्थतत्त्वज्ञः शास्ता विष्नोः परा तनुः महामोहात्मतनयो मधुमांसासवप्रियः तयोराज्ञां पुरस्कृत्य स मे कामं प्रयच्छतु
He who knows the true essence of all scriptures, the teacher, the supreme form of Vishnu, the son of Mahāmohātmā, fond of honey, meat, and wine—may he, having received their command, grant me my desire.
ब्रह्माणी चैव माहेशी कौमारी वैष्णवी तथा वाराही चैव माहेंद्री चामुंडा चंडविक्रमा
Brahmānī, Māheśī, Kaumārī, Vaiṣṇavī, Vārāhī, Māheṃdrī, and Cāmuṇḍā of fierce valor—
एता वै मातरः सप्त सर्वलोकस्य मातरः प्रार्थितं मे प्रयच्छंतु परमेश्वरशासनात्
These indeed are the seven Mothers, the Mothers of all the worlds; may they, by the command of the Supreme Lord, grant me what I seek.
मत्तमातंगवदनो गंगोमाशंकरात्मजः आकाशदेहो दिग्बाहुस्सोमसूर्याग्निलोचनः
With the face of an intoxicated elephant, son of Gaṅgā and Śaṃkara, whose body is like the sky, whose arms are the directions, whose eyes are the moon, sun, and fire—
ऐरावतादिभिर्दिव्यैर्दिग्गजैर्नित्यमर्चितः शिवज्ञानमदोद्भिन्नर्स्त्रिदशानामविघ्नकृत्
Ever worshipped by the divine elephants like Airāvata, born of the intoxication of Śiva-knowledge, remover of obstacles for the gods—
विघ्नकृच्चासुरादीनां विघ्नेशः शिवभावितः सत्कृत्य शिवयोराज्ञां स मे दिशतु कांक्षितम्
Remover of obstacles for the gods, creator of obstacles for demons and others, Lord of obstacles, devoted to Śiva—may he, honoring the command of Śiva and Pārvatī, grant me what I desire.
षण्मुखश्शिवसम्भूतः शक्तिवज्रधरः प्रभुः अग्नेश्च तनयो देवो ह्यपर्णातनयः पुनः
Ṣaṇmukha, born of Śiva, wielder of the spear and thunderbolt, the lord, son of Agni and also son of Aparṇā, again—
गंगायाश्च गणांबायाः कृत्तिकानां तथैव च विशाखेन च शाखेन नैगमेयेन चावृतः
Son of Gaṅgā, of Gaṇāmbā, and likewise of the Kṛttikās, surrounded by Viśākha, Śākha, and Naigameya—
