शृणु कृष्ण महेशस्य शिवस्य परमात्मनः मूर्त्यात्मभिस्ततं कृत्स्नं जगदेतच्चराचरम्
Hear, O Krishna, of the forms of Mahesha, Shiva, the Supreme Self, by whose embodiments this entire world, moving and unmoving, is pervaded.
स शिवस्सर्वमेवेदं स्वकीयाभिश्च मूर्तिभिः अधितिष्ठत्यमेयात्मा ह्येतत्सर्वमनुस्मृतम्
That Shiva, the immeasurable Self, abides in all this by his own forms; all this is remembered as his.
ब्रह्मा विष्णुस्तथा रुद्रो महेशानस्सदाशिवः मूर्तयस्तस्य विज्ञेया याभिर्विश्वमिदं ततम्
Brahma, Vishnu, Rudra, Maheshana, and Sadashiva—these are known as his forms, by which this universe is pervaded.
अथान्याश्चापि तनवः पञ्च ब्रह्मसमाह्वयाः तनूभिस्ताभिराव्याप्तमिह किंचिन्न विद्यते
Moreover, there are other forms as well, five called the Brahmas; by these bodies, everything here is pervaded, and nothing remains outside them.

Just as the branches of a tree flourish when its root is watered, so too does the body of the world flourish through the worship of Shiva.
सर्वाभयप्रदानं च सर्वानुग्रहणं तथा सर्वोपकारकरणं शिवस्याराधनं विदुः
The worship of Shiva is known as the granting of all fearlessness, the bestowal of all grace, and the performance of all beneficence.
