सर्वापराधशमनं परं भक्तिविवर्द्धनम् । अक्षयं ब्रह्मलोकादि सर्वस्वर्गैकसाधनम्
It removes all offenses, greatly increases devotion, is imperishable, leads to Brahmaloka and all heavens as the sole means.
विष्णुलोकैकसोपानं सर्वदुःखविनाशनम् । समस्तसुखदं सद्यः परं निर्वाणदायकम्
It is the sole stairway to Viṣṇu's world, destroys all sorrows, immediately bestows all happiness, and grants the highest liberation.
कामक्रोधादिनिःशेषमनोमलविशोधनम् । शांतिदं पावनं नॄणां महापातकिनामपि
It completely removes desire, anger, and all impurities, purifies the mind, brings peace, and sanctifies even the greatest sinners among men.
सर्वेषां प्राणिनामाशु सर्वाभीष्टफलप्रदम् । समस्तविघ्नशमनं सर्वारिष्टविनाशनम्
It quickly bestows all desired fruits to all beings, removes all obstacles, and destroys all calamities.
घोरदुःखप्रशमनं तीव्रदारिद्र्यनाशनम् । ऋणत्रयापहं गुह्यं धनधान्ययशस्करम्
It calms terrible suffering, destroys intense poverty, removes the threefold debts, is secret, and bestows wealth, grain, and fame.
सर्वैश्वर्यप्रदं सर्वसिद्धिदं सर्वधर्मदम् । तीर्थयज्ञतपोदानव्रतकोटिफलप्रदम्
It grants all prosperity, all accomplishments, and all righteousness; it gives the fruit of millions of pilgrimages, sacrifices, austerities, gifts, and vows.
जगज्जाड्यप्रशमनं सर्वविद्यापवर्त्तकम् । राज्यदं भ्रष्टराज्यानां रोगिणां सर्वरोगहृत् 6.71.
It removes the dullness of the world, bestows all knowledge, grants kingdoms to those who have lost them, and cures all diseases of the sick.
वंध्यानां सुतदं चायुःक्षीणानां जीवितप्रदम् । भूतग्रहविषध्वंसि ग्रहपीडाविनाशनम्
It gives children to the childless, life to those whose lifespan is diminished, destroys afflictions from spirits and poisons, and removes the suffering caused by planets.
मांगल्यं पुण्यमायुष्यं श्रवणात्पठनाज्जपात् । सकृदस्याखिलावेदाः सांगा मंत्राश्च कोटिशः
By hearing, reciting, or chanting this, one attains auspiciousness, merit, and long life; all the Vedas with their branches and countless mantras are contained in this single act.
पुराणशास्त्रस्मृतयः श्रुता स्युः पठितास्तथा । जप्त्वा चैकाक्षरं श्लोकं पादं वा पठति प्रिये
The Purāṇas, śāstras, and smṛtis are considered heard and recited in full; even by reciting a single syllable, verse, or quarter of this, O beloved, one gains their benefit.
नित्यं सिध्यति सर्वेष्टमचिरात्किमुताखिलम् । नानेन सदृशं सद्यः प्रत्ययं सर्वकर्मसु
All cherished desires are quickly fulfilled by this always; nothing else brings such immediate assurance in all actions.
इदं भद्रे त्वया गोप्यं पाठ्यं स्वार्थैकसिद्धये । नावैष्णवाय दातव्यं विकल्पोपहतात्मने
O auspicious one, you must keep this secret and recite it for the sake of your own highest good; it should not be given to a non-Vaiṣṇava or to one whose mind is unsettled by doubts.
भक्तिश्रद्धाविहीनाय विष्णुसामान्यदर्शिने । देयं पुत्राय शिष्याय सुहृदे हितकाम्यया
It should not be given to one lacking devotion and faith, or to one who regards Viṣṇu as ordinary; it may be given to a son, disciple, or friend, out of desire for their welfare.
मत्प्रसादादृतेनेदं ग्रहीष्यंत्यल्पमेधसः । कलौ सद्यः फलं कल्पग्रामं नेष्यति नारदः
By my grace, even those of little understanding will accept this with reverence; in the age of Kali, Nārada, it will immediately yield the fruit of a wish-fulfilling tree.
लोकानां भाग्यहीनानां येन दुःखं विनश्यति । द्वित्रेषु वैष्णवेष्वेतदार्यावर्ते भविष्यति
For those in the world who lack good fortune, by this their suffering is destroyed; in two or three Vaiṣṇavas, in the noble land, this will remain.
नास्ति विष्णोः परं धाम नास्ति विष्णोः परं तपः । नास्ति विष्णोः परो धर्मो नास्ति मंत्रो ह्यवैष्णवः
There is no higher abode than Viṣṇu, no greater austerity than Viṣṇu; there is no higher dharma than Viṣṇu, nor any mantra that is not Vaiṣṇava.
नास्ति विष्णोः परं सत्यं नास्ति विष्णोः परो मखः । नास्ति विष्णोः परं ध्यानं नास्ति विष्णोः परा गतिः
There is no truth higher than Viṣṇu, no sacrifice greater than Viṣṇu; there is no meditation higher than Viṣṇu, nor any path superior to Viṣṇu.
किं तस्य बहुभिर्मंत्रैः शास्त्रैर्वा र्बहुविस्तरैः । वाजपेयसहस्रैर्वा भक्तिर्यस्य जनार्दने
Of what use are many mantras or extensive scriptures, or thousands of Vājapeya sacrifices, for one who has devotion to Janārdana?
सर्वतीर्थमयो विष्णुः सर्वशास्त्रमयः प्रभुः । सर्वक्रतुमयो विष्णुः सत्यं सत्यं वदाम्यहम् । आब्रह्मसारसर्वस्वं सर्वमेतन्मयोदितम्
Viṣṇu is the essence of all sacred places, the Lord is the essence of all scriptures; Viṣṇu is the essence of all sacrifices—this is the truth, the truth I declare: all that I have spoken is the highest essence, from Brahmā downwards.
पार्वत्युवाच- धन्यास्म्यनुगृहीतास्मि कृतार्थास्मि जगत्पते । यन्मयेदं श्रुतं स्तोत्रं त्वद्रहस्यं सुदुर्लभम्
Pārvatī said: I am blessed, I am favored, I am fulfilled, O Lord of the world, because I have heard this hymn, your most secret and rare teaching.
अहो बत महत्कष्टं समस्तदुःखहे हरौ । विद्यमानेऽपि देवेशे मूढाः क्लिश्यंति संसृतौ
Ah, what great misfortune it is that, though the Lord who removes all suffering exists, the deluded continue to suffer in saṃsāra.
यमुद्दिश्य सदा नाथं महेशोऽपि दिगंबरः । जटिलो भस्मलिप्तांगो तपस्वी वीक्ष्यते जनैः
It is for the sake of that eternal Lord that even Maheśa, the sky-clad one, with matted hair and body smeared with ashes, is seen by people as an ascetic.
ततोऽधिकोऽस्ति देवः को लक्ष्मीकांतान्मधुद्विषः । यत्तत्त्वं चिंत्यते नित्यं त्वया योगेश्वरेण हि
Who is a greater god than the enemy of Madhu, the beloved of Lakṣmī, whose true nature is always contemplated by you, O Lord of Yogis?
ततः परं किमधिकं पदं श्रीपुरुषोत्तमात् । तमविज्ञाय कं मूढाः यजंते ज्ञानमानिनः
What higher state exists beyond Śrīpuruṣottama? Not knowing him, the deluded worship others, thinking themselves wise.
मुषितास्मि त्वया नाथ चिरं यदयमीश्वरः । प्रकाशितो न मे यस्मात्त्वदाद्या दिव्यशक्तयः
O Lord, I have long been deprived by you, for you did not reveal to me that this Lord and your divine powers are the source of all.
अहो सर्वेश्वरो विष्णुः सर्वदेवोत्तमोत्तमः । भवदादिगुरुर्मूढैः सामान्य इव वीक्ष्यते
Ah, Viṣṇu is the Lord of all, the highest of all gods; yet by the deluded, your own form as the original teacher is regarded as ordinary.
महीयसां हि माहात्म्यं भजमानान्भजंति ते । द्विषतोऽपि वृथा पापानुपेक्ष्यंते क्षमान्विताः
Those who honor the greatness of the noble receive their favor; even those who bear enmity are disregarded by the virtuous, who are endowed with patience.
मयापि बाल्ये स्वपितुः प्रजा दृष्टा बुभुक्षिताः । दुःखादशक्तया पोष्टुं श्रियमाराध्य वै भृताः
In my childhood, I saw my father's subjects suffering from hunger; unable to support them due to distress, I sought wealth and thus maintained them.
तया संनिहिताभ्यश्च प्रजाभ्यो भवदादयः । विलसंति स शक्राद्याः ससुहृन्मित्रबांधवाः
Through that wealth, prosperity arises for the subjects who are near; with it, even those like Indra, along with friends and relatives, flourish.
तया विना क्व देवत्वं क्वैश्वर्यं क्व परिग्रहः । सर्वे भवंति जीवंतो यातनास्वेव संस्थिताः
Without it, where is divinity, where is sovereignty, where are possessions? All remain alive, but are situated only in suffering.
