Though it is generally kept secret, I will explain it before you: even a small, wondrous act can destroy hundreds of misdeeds.
Just as, by the power of meditation on Hari, all great sin is destroyed, so too, by bathing in the morning while remembering Mādhava, terrible evil is dissolved.

Therefore, O king, give Divyādevī again of your own accord, after performing the Vaiśākha observance and hearing the sin-destroying hymn.
She will become a partner in the joy of union with her husband; and Sudeva, the powerful lord of the Pāṇḍya land, will be born.
O king, by the merit of bathing in the Revā during the month of Vaiśākha, therefore give your purified daughter, cleansed by that bath.
Again, by hearing the hymn of Mādhava and of Mādhava himself, there should be no doubt here; see this wonder, O king.

With Vīrasena, her friend from a former life, and by the deeds of her previous birth as well—thus a little has been told to you, Ambarīṣa, in summary.
What more do you wish to hear about the greatness of bathing in Vaiśākha?

Thus ends the ninety-third chapter in the story of Citropākhyāna, concerning the greatness of the month of Vaiśākha, in the Pātāla section of the glorious Padma Purāṇa.

O Madhusudana, what wonder is there in this, that in the holy month of Madhava, by the prescribed sacred baths, the destruction of heaps of sin surely occurs; and even by reciting his name, one attains that world.
That alone is the supreme, pure, and delightful merit in this world, attainable only by the virtuous, which is spoken of as the name of Keshava; this, O sage, I consider the auspicious essence of the month of Madhava.
Blessed indeed are those who remember the name of Madhava in this month, O slayer of Madhu; tell me again, I pray, some portion of his deeds, that are pure and the source of the universe.

He whose life is devoted to righteousness and to the purpose of Hari, who spends his days and nights for the sake of merit—I consider him a true Vaishnava on earth.
