Those who, even with impure bodies, bathe here in the Narmadā, the giver of happiness, are purified—especially in the month of Mādhava, mortals become as if lords among mortals, delighting in the worlds.
The Reva destroys the sins remembered since birth, and even those accumulated over ten lifetimes; one who bathes there, even if born from a low womb, if devoted, attains the world of Rudra.

Then, after some time, the Brāhmaṇa, following the law of time, passed away; and after a long while, O king, Citrā also died.

This is the result of her actions: that she was born into the king's family, O hero, a pure Vaiṣṇava lineage, which is difficult to attain for those who perform sinful deeds.

She now enjoys the fruit of that charity and of her bathing: she drinks cool water and delicious food every day.
Enjoying divine pleasures, she dwells in the house of the Lord; those afflicted by sorrow and pain partake of what is given according to the rite.
That which was formerly her delight in breaking up the homes of men and women—this is the result of her actions, and a little of it has come to her now.
Because of the greatness of bathing in Mādhava, without experiencing the torments of Yama, even though she was greatly sinful, O hero, that beautiful woman became your daughter.

Though it is generally kept secret, I will explain it before you: even a small, wondrous act can destroy hundreds of misdeeds.
Just as, by the power of meditation on Hari, all great sin is destroyed, so too, by bathing in the morning while remembering Mādhava, terrible evil is dissolved.
Just as, out of fear of Hari, all the hosts of serpents perish, so certainly, when the sun enters Aries, by bathing at a holy place and praising Hari, sin is dispelled.

She will become a partner in the joy of union with her husband; and Sudeva, the powerful lord of the Pāṇḍya land, will be born.
O king, by the merit of bathing in the Revā during the month of Vaiśākha, therefore give your purified daughter, cleansed by that bath.
Again, by hearing the hymn of Mādhava and of Mādhava himself, there should be no doubt here; see this wonder, O king.
