समानस्वरसंगीत वेणुवादनतत्पराः । श्रीदामा पश्चिमे द्वारे वसुदामा तथोत्तरे
Equal in voice and song, devoted to playing the flute; Śrīdāmā stands at the western gate, Vasudāmā at the northern.
सुदामा च तथा पूर्वे किंकिणी चापि दक्षिणे । तद्बाह्ये स्वर्णपीठे च सुवर्णमंदिरावृते
Sudāmā at the eastern gate, and Kiṃkiṇī at the southern; outside them, on a golden throne, surrounded by a golden palace.
स्वर्णवेद्यंतरस्थे तु स्वर्णाभरणभूषिते । स्तोककृष्णं सुभद्राद्यैर्गोपालैरयुतायुतैः
Within, on a golden altar, adorned with golden ornaments, is Stoka-Kṛṣṇa with Subhadra and countless cowherd boys.
शृंगवीणावेणुवेत्रवयोवेषाकृतिस्वरैः । तद्गुणध्यानसंयुक्तैर्गायद्भिरपि विह्वलैः
With horns, vīṇās, flutes, staffs, youthful forms, attire, and voices, absorbed in meditation on his virtues, singing with emotion.
चित्रार्पितैश्चित्ररूपैः सदानंदाश्रुवर्षिभिः । पुलकाकुलसर्वांगैर्योगींद्रैरिव विस्मितैः
With wondrous offerings and marvelous forms, always shedding tears of joy, their bodies thrilled, astonished like great yogis.
क्षरत्ययोभिर्गोविंदैरसंख्यातैरुपावृतम् । तद्बाह्ये स्वर्णप्राकारे कोटिसूर्यसमुज्जवले
Surrounded by countless Govindas, radiant as molten metal, outside them a golden wall, shining like ten million suns.
चतुर्दिक्षुमहोद्यानं मंजुसौरभमोहिते । पश्चिमे संमुखे श्रीमत्पारिजातद्रुमाश्रये
In all four directions, great gardens, enchanting with sweet fragrance; to the west, facing, is the glorious Pārijāta tree.
तदधस्तु स्वर्णपीठे स्वर्णमंडनमंडिते । तन्मध्ये मणिमाणिक्य दिव्यसिंहासनोज्ज्वले
Beneath it, on a golden throne adorned with gold, in its center a divine lion-seat, brilliant with jewels and rubies.
तत्रोपरि परानंदं वासुदेवं जगत्प्रभुम् । त्रिगुणातीतचिद्रूपं सर्वकारणकारणम्
Above that, the supreme blissful Vāsudeva, Lord of the universe, who is of the nature of consciousness beyond the three guṇas, the cause of all causes.
इंद्रनीलघनश्यामं नीलकुंचितकुंतलम् । पद्मपत्रविशालाक्षं मकराकृतिकुंडलम्
He is dark as a rain-laden cloud, with curling blue hair, eyes wide like lotus petals, and earrings shaped like makaras.
चतुर्भुजं तु चक्रासिगदाशंखांबुजायुधम् । आद्यंतरहितं नित्यं प्रधानं पुरुषोत्तमम्
He has four arms, bearing the discus, sword, mace, conch, and lotus as weapons; without beginning or end, eternal, the supreme person, the foremost.
ज्योतीरूपं महद्धाम पुराणं वनमालिनम् । पीतांबरधरं स्निग्धं दिव्यभूषणभूषितम्
He is of radiant form, of great splendor, ancient, adorned with a garland of forest flowers, wearing yellow garments, gentle, adorned with divine ornaments.
दिव्यानुलेपनं राजच्चित्रितांग मनोहरम् । रुक्मिणी सत्यभामा च नाग्नजिती सुलक्षणा
Anointed with divine unguents, his limbs are splendidly decorated and captivating; with him are Rukmiṇī, Satyabhāmā, Nāgnajitī, and the auspicious Sulakṣaṇā.
मित्रविंदानुविंदा सुनंदा जांबवती प्रिया । सुशीला चाष्टमहिला वासुदेवप्रियास्ततः
Mitravindā, Anuvindā, Sunandā, Jāmbavatī the beloved, and Suśīlā—these eight noble women are most dear to Vāsudeva.
उद्भ्राजिताः पारिषदा वृतयोर्भक्तितत्पराः । उत्तरे सुमहोद्याने हरिचंदनसंश्रये
Attendants, shining forth, devoted to service and worship, are gathered there; in the great northern garden, fragrant with sandalwood.
तत्राधस्तु स्वर्णपीठे मणिमंडपमंडिते । तन्मध्ये हेमनिर्माणदले सिंहासनोज्जवले
There below, on a golden seat, adorned with a jeweled pavilion; in its center, a shining lion throne made of gold.
तत्रैव सह रेवत्या संकर्षण हलायुधम् । ईश्वरस्य प्रियानंतमभिन्नगुणरूपिणम्
There, together with Revatī, is Saṃkarṣaṇa, wielder of the plough, endlessly dear to the Lord, of identical qualities and form.
शुद्धस्फटिकसंकाशं रक्तांबुज दलेक्षणम् । नीलपट्टधरं स्निग्धं दिव्यभूषास्रगंबरम्
He is resplendent like pure crystal, with eyes like red lotus petals, clothed in blue silk, gentle, adorned with divine ornaments, garlands, and garments.
मधुपाने सदासक्तं मधुघूर्णितलोचनम् । प्रवीरदक्षिणेभागे मंजुनाभ्यंतरस्थिते
Ever fond of drinking honeyed wine, his eyes rolling from intoxication; to his right sits Pradyumna, radiant, within.
संतानवृक्षमूले तु मणिमंदिरमंडितम् । तन्मध्ये मणिमाणिक्य दिव्यसिंहासनोज्ज्वले
At the foot of the wish-fulfilling tree, adorned with a jeweled palace; in its center, a shining divine lion throne of jewels and rubies.
प्रद्युम्नं च रती देवं तत्रोपरिसुखस्थितम् । जगन्मोहनसौंदर्य्यसारश्रेणीरसात्मकम्
There sits Pradyumna, the god of love, in supreme happiness; the very essence of the series of allures and beauties that enchant the world.
असितांभोजपुंजाभमरविंददलेक्षणम् । दिव्यालंकारभूषाभिर्दिव्यगंधानुलेपनम्
He resembles a cluster of dark lotuses, with eyes like lotus petals; adorned with divine ornaments and anointed with celestial fragrances.
जगन्मुग्धीकृताशेष सौंदर्याश्चर्यविग्रहम् । पूर्वोद्याने महारण्ये सुरद्रुम समाश्रये
His wondrous form, astonishing in beauty, enchants the entire world; in the eastern garden, amidst the great forest, sheltered by celestial trees.
तत्राधस्तु स्वर्णपीठे हेममंडपमंडिते । तस्य मध्ये स्थिरे राजद्दिव्यसिंहासनोज्ज्वले
There below, on a golden seat, adorned with a golden pavilion; in its center, on a splendid, firm, radiant divine lion throne.
दिव्योषयासमं श्रीमदनिरुद्धं जगत्पतिम् । सांद्रानंदघनश्यामं सुस्निग्धं नीलकुंतलम्
With a divine lady beside him is glorious Aniruddha, Lord of the world; intensely blissful, dark as a rain cloud, with lustrous blue hair.
सुभ्रून्नतलताभंगीं सुकपोलं सुनासिकम् । सुग्रीवं सुंदरं वक्षो मनोहर मनोहरम्
With eyebrows curved like tender creepers, beautiful cheeks, a fine nose, a graceful neck, and a lovely, enchanting chest.
किरीटिनं कुंडलिनं कंठभूषाविभूषितम् । मंजुमंजीरमाधुर्यादतिसौंदर्य विग्रहम्
He is adorned with a crown and earrings, his neck resplendent with ornaments, his form of unsurpassed beauty enhanced by the sweet sound of his anklets.
प्रियभृत्यगणाराध्यं यत्र संगीतकप्रियम् । पूर्णब्रह्मसदानंदं शुद्धसत्वस्वरूपकम्
He is worshipped by beloved attendants, delights in music and song, is the embodiment of complete Brahman and eternal bliss, and his nature is pure existence.
तस्योर्द्ध्वे चांतरिक्षे च विष्णुं सर्वेश्वरेश्वरम् । अनादिमादिचिद्रूपं चिदानंदं परं विभुम्
Above him, in the sky, is Vishnu, the Lord of all lords, whose form is consciousness without beginning or end, supreme, blissful, and all-pervading.
त्रिगुणातीतमव्यक्तं नित्यमक्षयमव्ययम् । समेघपुंजमाधुर्यसौंदर्यश्यामविग्रहम्
He transcends the three qualities, is unmanifest, eternal, imperishable, and unchanging, his form dark and beautiful like a mass of rain clouds.
