Thus, O Vaiśyas, the god Daṇḍadhara always instructs you; therefore, Vaiṣṇavas do not go to the city of Yama.
O best of men, without devotion to Viṣṇu, there is no other means, none at all, for the most sinful to cross the ocean of hell.
O Vaiśya, do not look down upon even a dog-eater who is a Vaiṣṇava; a Vaiṣṇava, even if outside the social order, purifies the three worlds.
By this alone—the loud chanting of the Lord's qualities, deeds, and names—are men's sins destroyed; even Ajāmila, crying out 'Nārāyaṇa' at death, attained liberation.
Those ancestors from both family lines who have long been submerged in hell, at that very moment attain heaven when Hari is worshipped with joy.
Those who are servants of a devotee of Vishnu, and those who partake of food offered to Vishnu, attain, without distress, the state reached by sacrificers and merchants.
One who, with discernment, earnestly seeks food offered to Vishnu, for the sake of complete purification from all sins, should drink water in its absence.
If a man, dying anywhere, recites the mantra 'Govinda,' he does not see Yama, nor do we behold him.
With proper initiation and according to rule, one should recite the twelve-syllable mantra, complete with its limbs, the ocean, meditation, sages, meter, and deity.
Those excellent men who recite the eight-syllable chief mantra—upon seeing them, even a slayer of a Brahmin is purified and shines like a devotee of Vishnu.
Becoming bearers of conch and discus, entering the realm of Brahma, those men dwell in the world of Vishnu in forms resembling Vishnu.
Having worshipped Hari in the heart, in the sun, in water, in an image, or even on the ground, men attain that Vaishnava abode.
Alternatively, Vasudeva is always to be worshipped by those seeking liberation, in the Shalagrama stone, in the gem, in the discus, or in one formed by the thunderbolt insect.
That is indeed the seat of Vishnu, the destroyer of all sins, the bestower of all merit, and the giver of liberation to all.
Whoever worships Hari in the discus arising from the Shalagrama stone, has, each day, performed the equivalent of a thousand Rajasuya sacrifices.
The Vedantas always praise the eternal, unchanging Brahman; by worshipping the Shalagrama stone, his grace arises for men.
Just as fire present in great wood becomes manifest in the place of sacrifice, so too does the all-pervading Hari become manifest in the Shalagrama.
Even those engaged in sinful acts, or unfit for ritual action, if they worship the Shalagrama, do not go to the abode of Yama.
Hari does not delight so much in Lakshmi, nor in his own city, as he always delights in the discus of the Shalagrama stone.
By whom Hari is worshipped in the discus arising from the Shalagrama stone, it is as if he has performed the Agnihotra and given the earth with its oceans.
O merchant, I will tell you the merit of one who, according to rule, worships twelve stones arising from the Shalagrama.
The merit obtained in a single day by worshipping twelve Shalagrama stones is equal to that gained by worshipping twelve crore lingas with golden lotuses at twelve times.
Whoever, with devotion, worships the Śālagrāma stone a hundred times, after residing in the world of Hari, is born here as a universal sovereign.
Even the lowest man, filled with desires, anger, and greed, attains the world of Hari by worshipping the Śālagrāma stone.
A man who joyfully worships Govinda in the Śālagrāma stone does not fall from heaven until the end of the cosmic age.
Without pilgrimages, without gifts, without sacrifices, and without special knowledge, men and even merchants attain liberation by worshipping the Śālagrāma stone.
Not even a sinful merchant who worships the Śālagrāma stone goes to hell, the womb, animal birth, or the state of worms.
He who knows the mantras, performs the rites of initiation, and offers oblations—Ganga, Godavari, Reva, and all rivers that grant liberation—
All these sacred rivers dwell beneficially in the water of the Śālagrāma stone, along with various offerings, flowers, incense, lamps, and ointments.
Whoever, devoted to worship, performs the worship of the Śālagrāma stone in the Kali age with songs, music, hymns, and the like—
