प्रदक्षिणं तु यः कुर्यात्तस्मिंस्तीर्थे नराधिप । व्यासस्तस्य भवेत्प्रीतो वांछितं लभते फलम्
O king, whoever performs circumambulation at that tirtha pleases Vyāsa and obtains the desired fruit.
सूत्रेण वेष्टयेद्यस्तु दीप्तं देवं सवेदिकम् । क्रीडते ह्यक्षयं कालं यथा रुद्रस्तथैव सः
Whoever wraps the blazing deity along with the altar with a thread plays joyfully for endless time, just like Rudra himself.
ततो गच्छेत राजेंद्र एरंडीतीर्थमुत्तमम् । संगमे तु नरः स्नात्वा मुच्यते सर्वपातकैः
Then, O king, one should go to the excellent Erandī tirtha; by bathing at the confluence there, a man is freed from all sins.
एरंडी त्रिषु लोकेषु विख्याता पापनाशिनी । अथवाश्वयुजे मासे शुक्लपक्षस्य चाष्टमी
Erandī is renowned in the three worlds as the destroyer of sins; or, in the month of Ashvayuja, on the eighth day of the bright fortnight—
शुचिर्भूत्वा नरः स्नात्वा सोपवासपरायणः
A man, having become pure and bathed, devoted to fasting—
ब्राह्मणं भोजयेदेकं कोटिर्भवति भोजिता । एरंडीसंगमे स्नात्वा भक्तिभावानुरंजितः
If he feeds a single Brahmin, it is as if a crore have been fed; bathing at the confluence of Erandī, filled with devotion—
शुक्तिकां शिरसि स्थाप्य अवगाह्य च वै जलम् । नर्मदोदकसंमिश्रं मुच्यते सर्वकिल्बषैः
Placing a shell on his head and immersing himself in water mixed with Narmada water, he is freed from all sins.
प्रदक्षिणं तु यः कुर्यात्तस्मिंस्तीर्थे नराधिप । प्रदक्षिणीकृता तेन सप्तद्वीपा वसुंधरा
O king, whoever performs circumambulation at that tirtha, it is as if he has circumambulated the earth with its seven continents.
ततः सुवर्णतिलके स्नात्वा दत्वा च कांचनम् । कांचनेन विमानेन रुद्रलोके महीयते
Then, after bathing at Suvarṇatilaka and giving gold, he is honored in Rudra's world in a golden chariot.
ततः स्वर्गच्युतः कालाद्राजा भवति वीर्यवान् । ततो गच्छेत राजेंद्र इक्षुनद्यास्तु संगमम्
After falling from heaven in due time, the king becomes powerful; then, O king, he should go to the confluence of the Ikṣu river.
त्रैलोक्ये विश्रुतं दिव्यं तत्र संनिहितः शिवः । तत्र स्नात्वा नरो राजन्गाणपत्यमवाऽप्नुयात्
That divine place is famous throughout the three worlds, where Shiva is present; O king, by bathing there, a man attains lordship over Ganas.
स्कंदतीर्थं ततो गच्छेत्सर्वपापप्रणाशनम् । आजन्मनः कृतं पापं स्नानमात्राद्व्यपोहति
Then one should go to Skanda tirtha, the destroyer of all sins; by merely bathing there, the sins committed since birth are washed away.
आंगिरसं ततो गच्छेत्स्नानं तत्र समाचरेत् । गोसहस्रफलं तस्य रुद्रलोके महीयते
Then one should go to Āṃgirasa, and there perform bathing; its fruit is equal to a thousand cows, and in Rudra's world, he is honored.
लांगलतीर्थं ततो गच्छेत्सर्वपापप्रणाशनम् । तत्र गत्वा तु राजेंद्र स्नानं तत्र समाचरेत्
Then one should go to Lāṃgalatīrtha, the destroyer of all sins; having gone there, O king, one should bathe at that place.
सप्तजन्मकृतैः पापैर्मुच्यते नात्र संशयः । वटेश्वरं ततो गच्छेत्सर्वतीर्थमनुत्तमम्
There is no doubt that one is freed from sins committed over seven births; then one should go to Vaṭeśvara, the supreme of all sacred fords.
तत्र स्नात्वा नरो राजन्गोसहस्रफलं लभेत् । संगमेश्वरं ततो गच्छेत्सर्वपापहरं परम्
Having bathed there, O king, a man obtains the fruit of a thousand cows; then one should go to Saṃgameśvara, the supreme remover of all sins.
तत्र स्नात्वा नरो राज्यं लभते नात्र संशयः । भद्रतीर्थं समासाद्य दानं दद्यात्तु यो नरः
Having bathed there, a man attains sovereignty, there is no doubt of this; upon reaching Bhadratīrtha, whatever man gives charity there—
तस्य तीर्थप्रभावेण सर्वं कोटिगुणं भवेत् । अथ नारी भवेत्कापि तत्र स्नानं समाचरेत्
By the power of that sacred place, all is multiplied a crore-fold; and if any woman should bathe there—
गौरीतुल्या भवेत्सा तु इंद्रं याति न संशयः । अंगारेश्वरं ततो गच्छेत्स्नानं तत्र समाचरेत्
She becomes equal to Gaurī and certainly attains Indra, there is no doubt; then one should go to Aṃgāreśvara and bathe there.
स्नातमात्रो नरस्तत्र रुद्रलोके महीयते । अंगारक्यां चतुर्थ्यां तु स्नानं तत्र समाचरेत्
Merely by bathing there, a man is honored in Rudra's world; and on the fourth day of Aṃgārakī, one should bathe there.
अक्षयं मोदते कालं मुरारिकृतशासनः । अयोनिसंगमे स्नात्वा न पश्येद्योनिमंदिरम्
He enjoys inexhaustible happiness for a long time, under the command of Murāri; having bathed at Ayonisaṃgama, he does not see the abode of the womb.
पांडवेश्वरकं गत्वा स्नानं तत्र समाचरेत् । अक्षयं मोदते कालमवध्यस्तु सुरासुरैः
Having gone to Pāṇḍaveśvaraka, one should bathe there; he enjoys inexhaustible happiness for a long time and cannot be slain by gods or demons.
विष्णुलोकं ततो गत्वा क्रीडाभोगसमन्वितः । तत्र भुक्त्वा महाभोगान्मर्त्ये राजाभिजायते
Then, having gone to Viṣṇuloka, endowed with pleasures and enjoyments, after enjoying great delights there, he is born as a king among mortals.
कंबोतिकेश्वरं गच्छेत्स्नानं तत्र समाचरेत् । उत्तरायणे तु संप्राप्ते यदिच्छेत्तस्य तद्भवेत्
One should go to Kaṃbotikeśvara and bathe there; when the northern solstice arrives, whatever he desires, that he obtains.
चंद्रभागां ततो गच्छेत्स्नानं तत्र समाचरेत् । स्नातमात्रो नरस्तत्र सोमलोके महीयते
Then one should go to Caṃdrabhāgā and bathe there; merely by bathing, a man is honored in Soma's world.
ततो गच्छेत राजेंद्र तीर्थं शक्रस्य विश्रुतम् । पूजितं देवराजेन देवैरपि नमस्कृतम्
Then, O king, one should go to the renowned sacred place of Śakra, worshipped by the king of the gods and saluted even by the deities.
तत्र स्नात्वा नरो राजन्दानं दत्वा च कांचनम् । अथवा नीलवर्णाभं वृषभं यः समुत्सृजेत्
There, O king, after bathing and giving gold in charity, or if one releases a bull resembling the color of blue, then—
वृषभस्य तु रोमाणि तत्प्रसूतिकुलेषु च । तावद्वर्षसहस्राणि नरो हरपुरे वसेत्
For as many hairs as are on the bull and in its lineage, for that many thousands of years, a man dwells in the city of Hara.
ततः स्वर्गात्परिभ्रष्टो राजा भवति वीर्यवान् । अश्वानां श्वेतवर्णानां सहस्रेषु नराधिप
Then, having fallen from heaven, the king becomes mighty; among men, O ruler, he becomes lord of a thousand white horses, by the power of that sacred place.
स्वामी भवति मर्त्येषु तस्य तीर्थ प्रभावतः । ततो गच्छेत राजेंद्र ब्रह्मावर्त्तमनुत्तमम्
Then, O king, one should go to the supreme Brahmāvarta.
