तस्मात्प्राज्येषु यज्ञेषु स्तोत्रेषु नित्यपूजने। गणेशं पूजयित्वा तु सर्वसिद्धिं लभेन्नरः
Therefore, in grand sacrifices, hymns, and daily worship, by worshipping Ganesha, a person attains all accomplishments.
एवं ज्ञात्वा तु देवैस्तु दयितप्राप्ति काम्यया। पूजितश्चाथसर्वैस्तु स्वर्गमोक्षार्थतो ध्रुवम्
Thus, knowing this, the gods, desiring to obtain their beloved, worshipped him; and surely, all attained heaven and liberation.
नक्ताहारश्चतुर्थ्यां तु पूजयित्वा गणाधिपं। लिंगे वा प्रतिमा चित्रे देवः पूज्यो भवेद्यदि
On the fourth day, fasting at night and worshipping the Lord of the hosts, whether in the linga, in an image, or in a picture, the deity is to be worshipped.
गणाधिप नमस्तुभ्यं सर्वविघ्नप्रशांतिद। उमानंदप्रद प्राज्ञ त्राहि मां भवसागरात्
O Lord of the hosts, I bow to you, remover of all obstacles; giver of joy to Uma, wise one, save me from the ocean of existence.
हरानंदकरध्यान ज्ञानविज्ञानद प्रभो। विघ्नराज नमस्तुभ्यं प्रसन्नो भव सर्वदा
O Lord who grants joy to Hara, who bestows knowledge and wisdom, O King of Obstacles, I bow to you; may you always be gracious.
कृतोपवासो गणपं पूजयेद्यो नरो मुदा। सर्वपापविनिर्मुक्तः सुरलोके महीयते
Whoever, after observing a fast, joyfully worships Gaṇapati, is freed from all sins and is honored in the world of the gods.
स्तोत्रं तस्य प्रवक्ष्यामि नामद्वादशकं शुभं। ॐनमो गणपतये मंत्र एष उदाहृतः
I will now declare his hymn, the auspicious twelve names; this mantra is recited: 'Om, I bow to Gaṇapati.'
गणपतिर्विघ्नराजो लंबतुंडो गजाननः। द्वैमातुरश्च हेरम्ब एकदंतो गणाधिपः
Gaṇapati, King of Obstacles, Long-tusked, Elephant-faced, Son of Two Mothers, Heramba, Single-tusked, Lord of the Gaṇas—
विनायकश्चारुकर्णः पशुपालो भवात्मजः। द्वादशैतानि नामानि प्रातरुत्थाय यः पठेत्
Vināyaka, Beautiful-eared, Protector of Creatures, Son of Bhava—these twelve names, whoever recites them upon rising in the morning,
विश्वं तस्य भवेद्वश्यं न च विघ्नं भवेत्क्वचित्। महाप्रेताश्शमं यांति पीड्यते व्याधिभिर्न च। सर्वपापाद्विनिर्मुक्तो ह्यक्षयं स्वर्गमश्नुते
For him, the whole world comes under control, and obstacles never arise; great spirits are pacified, he is not afflicted by diseases, and freed from all sins, he attains imperishable heaven.
इति श्रीपाद्मपुराणे प्रथमे सृष्टिखंडे गणपतिस्तोत्रं नाम। त्रिषष्टितमोऽध्यायः
Thus, in the glorious Padma Purāṇa, in the first section on creation, is the chapter named 'The Hymn to Gaṇapati,' the sixty-third.
व्यास उवाच- पुनरन्यत्प्रवक्ष्यामि स्तोत्रं गणाधिपस्य च। सर्वसिद्धिकरं पूतं सर्वाभीष्टफलप्रदं
Vyāsa said: Again, I will declare another hymn to the Lord of the Gaṇas, which bestows all accomplishments, is pure, and grants all desired fruits.
एकदंतं महाकायं तप्तकांचनसन्निभम्। लंबोदरं विशालाक्षं वंदेहं गणनायकं
I praise that leader of the Gaṇas, who is single-tusked, great-bodied, shining like molten gold, with a large belly and wide eyes.
मुंजकृष्णाजिनधरं नागयज्ञोपवीतकम्। बालेंदुकलिकामौलिं वंदेहं गणनायकं
I praise that leader of the Gaṇas, who wears a girdle of muñja grass and a black antelope skin, adorned with a serpent-threaded sacred cord and a crescent moon on his head.
सर्वविघ्नहरं देवं सर्वविघ्नविवर्जितम्। मूषकोत्तममारुह्य देवासुरमहाहवे
I praise that leader of the Gaṇas, the god who removes all obstacles and is free from all obstacles, who, mounted on the excellent mouse, in the great battle of gods and demons—
योद्धुकामं महाबाहुं वंदेहं गणनायकम्। अंबिकाहृदयानंदं मातृकापरिवेष्टितम्
I praise that leader of the Gaṇas, the mighty-armed one eager to fight, the joy of Ambikā's heart, surrounded by the Mothers.
भक्तिप्रियं मदोन्मत्तं वंदेहं गणनायकम्। चित्ररत्नविचित्रांगं चित्रमालाविभूषणम्
I praise that leader of the Gaṇas, who delights in devotion, intoxicated with joy, whose limbs are adorned with wondrous jewels and garlands.
कामरूपधरं देवं वंदेहं गणनायकम्। गजवक्त्रं सुरश्रेष्ठं चारुकर्णविभूषितम्
I praise that leader of the Gaṇas, the god who assumes any form at will, who has an elephant face, is best among the gods, and is adorned with beautiful ears.
पाशांकुशधरं देवं वंदेहं गणनायकम्। यक्षकिन्नरगंधर्वैः सिद्धविद्याधरैस्सदा
I praise that leader of the Gaṇas, the god who holds a noose and goad, who is always praised by Yakṣas, Kinnaras, Gandharvas, Siddhas, and Vidyādharas.
स्तूयमानं महादेहं वंदेहं गणनायकम्। गणाष्टकमिदं पुण्यं भक्तितो यः पठेन्नरः
I praise that leader of the Gaṇas, the great-bodied one who is always praised by Yakṣas, Kinnaras, Gandharvas, Siddhas, and Vidyādharas; whoever recites this sacred Gaṇa-octet with devotion—
सर्वसिद्धिमवाप्नोति रुद्रलोके महीयते। न निःस्वतां तथाभ्येति सप्तजन्मसु मानवः
He attains all accomplishments and is honored in the world of Rudra; in seven births, a man does not fall into poverty.
य इदं पठते नित्यं महाराजो भवेन्नरः। वश्यं करोति त्रैलोक्यं पठनाच्छ्रवणादपि। स्तोत्रं परं महापुण्यं गणपस्य महात्मनः
Whoever recites this daily becomes a great king among men; by reciting or even hearing this supreme, highly meritorious hymn of the great-souled Gaṇapati, he brings the three worlds under his control.
इति श्रीपाद्मपुराणे प्रथमे सृष्टिखंडे गणपतिस्तोत्रं नाम-चतुष्षष्टितमोऽध्यायः
Thus ends the sixty-fourth chapter, called 'The Hymn to Ganesha,' in the first section (Sṛṣṭikhaṇḍa) of the glorious Padma Purāṇa.
व्यास उवाच-। नांदीमुखेषु सर्वेषु पूजयेद्यो गणाधिपम्। तस्य सर्वो भवेद्वश्यः पुण्यं भवति चाक्षयम्
Vyāsa said: Whoever worships the Lord of the Gaṇas at all auspicious beginnings, all things come under his control, and his merit becomes inexhaustible.
गणानां त्वेति मंत्रेण सर्वयज्ञघटेषु च। सर्वसिद्धिमवाप्नोति स्वर्गं मोक्षं लभेन्नरः
By reciting the mantra 'gaṇānāṃ tvaṃ' at all sacrificial vessels, a person attains all accomplishments, and gains both heaven and liberation.
मृण्मये प्रतिमायां च चित्रे चाथ दृषण्मये। द्वारदारुणि पात्रे च हेरंबं लेखयेद्बुधः
A wise person should depict Heraṃba (Ganesha) in a clay image, in a painting, in a stone form, at the doorway, on wood, or on a vessel.
अन्यस्मिन्नपि देशे तु सततं दृष्टिगोचरे। स्थापयित्वा तु हेरंबं शक्त्या यः पूजयेद्बुधः
Even in any other place, if one establishes Heraṃba always within sight and worships him to the best of one's ability, being wise—
तस्य कार्याणि सिद्ध्यंति दयितानि समंततः। न विघ्नं जायते किंचित्त्रैलोक्यं वशमानयेत्
All his cherished undertakings succeed on every side; no obstacle arises at all, and he brings the three worlds under his sway.
विद्यार्थी लभते विद्यां वेदशास्त्रसमुद्भवाम्। अन्यां च शिल्पिविद्यां च विजयां स्वर्गदायिनीम्
A student attains knowledge arising from the Vedas and scriptures, as well as other skills and victorious arts that bestow heaven.
धनार्थी विपुलं वित्तं कन्यां साध्वीं मनोरमाम्। ऐश्वर्यं धर्मसाध्यं च तनयं कुलमोक्षदम्
One seeking wealth obtains abundant riches, a virtuous and lovely wife, prosperity achieved through righteousness, and a son who brings liberation to the family.
