O best of twice-born, when there is constant loud chanting, dancing, singing, and playing of instruments, with remembrance of My name, I dissolve into that body.
From the moment you killed Baka, you have become My devotee and a holy place; whatever sin belongs to you, friend, is spoken for liberation.
Go to the great-souled Muka, the foremost of sacred places for the virtuous; O dear one, by seeing Muka, all the great people are seen.
By merely seeing them, by speaking with them, and by being connected with Me, and because you have come to My abode—
For one whose sins from thousands of millions of births are destroyed, that righteous one sees Me, and by that, My favor is obtained.
By My own grace, O child, I have been seen by you, sinless one; therefore, accept a boon, whatever is in your mind.
The Brahmin said: May my mind always remain fixed on You, O Lord; apart from You, O Lord of all worlds, may nothing else ever please me.
Madhava said: Because such understanding always arises in you, O sinless one, therefore you shall enjoy pleasures like Mine in My abode.
But, O sinless one, your parents will not receive worship from you; only after worshipping your parents will you come to My form.
Because of their sighs and intense anger, your austerity is constantly diminished; therefore, worship them, O Brahmin.
Where anger always falls upon a son from his parents, neither I, nor Brahma, nor Shiva can prevent that hell.
Therefore, go to your parents and carefully perform worship; then, by their favor alone, you will attain My abode.
When this was said, the best of Brahmins again spoke to the Teacher of the world: If You are pleased with me, O Lord, show me Your own form, O Achyuta.
Then, because of the Brahmin's devotion, with a heart full of grace, the Lord, devoted to Brahmins and their rites, revealed His own form.
He showed Himself as the Supreme Person, bearing the conch, discus, mace, and lotus, the cause of all worlds, filling the universe with His radiance.
Bowing down flat in reverence, the Brahmin again spoke to Achyuta: Today my birth is fruitful, today my eyes are blessed.
Today my hands are praiseworthy, I am blessed, O Lord of the universe; today my ancestors attain the eternal world of Brahma.
My relatives rejoice, O worthy one, by Your grace, O Janardana; and now, all my cherished desires are fulfilled.
But, Lord, I am greatly astonished—how do the mute and others, who are wise, know of my conduct, even when I am far away in another land?
In the inner space of that house dwells the illustrious Brahmin, and likewise, in the house of the devoted wife, and even on the head of Tuladhara.
In the same way, in the house of the one who does not betray friends, and in the temple of the Vaishnava, by your grace, O Brahmin, you are worthy to speak the truth to me.
The Blessed Lord said: The mute is always devoted to his parents; that wife is virtuous; Tuladhara speaks the truth and is impartial to all people.
He who is free from greed, desire, and betrayal, and is devoted to me, is known as a Vaishnava; pleased by these virtues, I dwell joyfully in their abode.
Together with Bharati and Kamala, O best of Brahmins—The Brahmin said: Because of association with great sinners, men become extremely sinful.
Thus speak those who know dharma, always in the texts of law; in the Puranas, Agamas, and Vedas—how do you dwell in the house?
The Blessed Lord said: Among all the virtuous, the mute is the doer in the three worlds; even a Chandala who is steadfast in conduct, the gods know him as a Brahmin.
There is no one in the worlds equal to the mute in meritorious deeds; always devoted to his parents, by him the three worlds are conquered.
By their devotion, I am pleased, together with all the hosts of gods; I dwell in the form of a Brahmin within the inner space of his house.
Likewise, in the house of the devoted wife, in the dwelling of Tuladhara, in the home of the one who does not betray, and in the abode of the Vaishnava.
I always dwell there, O knower of dharma, I do not abandon it even for a moment; thus, those who are not doers of evil see me constantly.
