In Padmāvatī, Padmagṛha is present; in the sky, Padmaketana; I have recounted to you one hundred and eight sacred places.
Wherever my presence exists, O Destroyer of Tripura, at the three junctions of the day—if a devoted person beholds even one of these places—
Having attained a pure place, he rejoices for countless ages; whatever wrong is done by mind, speech, or body—
All of that is destroyed; there is no need for doubt in this. But if a person visits all these places and beholds me—
He becomes entitled to liberation, for wherever I am, there indeed he resides; with offerings of flowers, incense, and the satisfaction of Brāhmaṇas—
And by steadfast meditation, the Supreme Lord is quickly attained; his merit is supreme, and in the end, he attains the fruit of liberation.
Having reached the world of Brahma, he remains there for that time; then, at the next creation, he is born as a god among the Vairājas, great ascetics.
Even sins such as the killing of a Brāhmaṇa, whether committed in this world intentionally or unintentionally, are destroyed at that very moment.
If a person is poor or has lost his kingdom in this world, and goes to these places and beholds me with concentration—
Having performed worship, offerings, bathing, and the satisfaction of ancestors, and having given the funeral cake, he soon becomes free from suffering.
He becomes a king ruling under a single umbrella—this is true, there is no doubt; in this world, kingdoms, good fortune, wealth, grain, and noble wives—
All these various blessings come to him who has undertaken a pilgrimage to Puṣkara; whoever performs or causes to be performed this procedure of pilgrimage—
Or even hears it, is freed from all sins; if a person knows that he has committed a forbidden act—
Even if one has neglected the rites of Brahma for many years, by performing this pilgrimage just once, one attains the sanctification of the Vedas.
Why speak at length about this, O Śaṃkara? Here, that which is unattainable is attained, and sin is also destroyed.
It bestows the fruit equal to all sacrifices and all holy places; by this, the completion of all the Vedas is indeed accomplished.
Those who, having performed the twilight worship at Puṣkara, worship Sāvitrī with water offered by their own wife’s hand in a Puṣkara vessel—
Whether with a vessel of iron, copper, or even clay, O Śaṃkara, bringing that holy water, the twilight worship at the end of the day—
Should be performed with concentration, preceded by proper breath control; hear from me, O Hara, the merit gained by performing it thus.
By that, the twilight worship is considered as performed for twelve years; in bathing and giving, the merit is ten times that of an Aśvamedha sacrifice.
Even in fasting, the merit is endless, as I myself have declared, O sinless one; and whoever gives food to a couple in front of Sāvitrī—
By that, I am fed there—of this there is no doubt; and whoever feeds a second couple, Keśava is fed by him.
Accompanied by Lakṣmī, the bestower of boons grants him his wishes; and if a third is fed, accompanied by Umā, you are fed—there is no doubt.
