Whoever causes these one hundred and eight names to be recited in the presence of Brahma, on the full moon or new moon, will have many sons. Whether at the giving of cows, at a shraddha, day by day, or while performing worship of the gods, one who hears this attains the supreme Brahman.” As Vishnu thus praised her, the virtuous Sāvitrī spoke gently to him: “You have been properly praised by me, my son; you shall be unconquered. In every incarnation, you will always be dear to your father and mother. And whoever comes here and praises me with this hymn, being freed from all sins, will attain the highest state. Go now to the sacrifice of the Creator and bring it to completion, my son. “In Kurukshetra and Prayaga, and in the future as Annadayini, I, ever near my husband, will do as you have said.” Thus, the divine Mother’s many forms and sacred abodes were revealed, and her blessings pronounced for all who remember her with devotion.
