भीमोन्मत्तादिकां चापि वशीकरणभैरवीम्
Bhīmā, Unmattā, and others, as well as Vaśīkaraṇa Bhairavī—
एवमाराधिता काली सिद्धा भवति मन्त्रिणाम्
Thus worshipped, Kālī becomes accomplished for the mantrin.
आत्मनो वा परस्यार्थं क्षिप्रसिद्धिप्रदायकान्
For oneself or for another, she grants swift accomplishment.
आत्मनो हितमन्विच्छन् कालीभक्तो विवर्जयेत्
One who seeks his own welfare should avoid devotion to Kālī.
अयुतं सो ऽचिरादेव वाक्पतेः समतामियात्
He would soon attain equality with the lord of speech upon completing ten thousand recitations.
जपेद्यो ऽयुतमेतस्य भवेयुः सर्वसिद्धयः
Whoever recites this ten thousand times will obtain all accomplishments.
अर्कपुष्पसहस्रेणाभ्यक्तेन स्वीयरेतसा
With a thousand arka flowers, anointed with one's own seed,
सो ऽचरेणैव कालेन धरणीप्रभुतां व्रजेत्
By performing this practice for a period, one attains sovereignty over the earth.
सकवित्वेन रम्येण जनान्मोहयति ध्रुवम्
With poetic skill and charm, he certainly bewilders people.
महाकालेन देवेन मारयुद्धं प्रकुर्वतीम्
When the great god Mahākāla wages war against Māra,
जपेत्सहस्रमपि यः स शङ्करसमो भवेत्
Whoever recites even a thousand times becomes equal to Śaṅkara.
उष्ट्रस्य महिषस्यापि बलिं यस्तु समर्पयेत्
Whoever offers the sacrifice of a camel or a buffalo,
विद्यालक्ष्मीयशःपुत्रैः स चिरं सुखमेधते
He enjoys lasting happiness with knowledge, wealth, fame, and sons.
नक्तं निधुवनासक्तो लक्षं स स्याद्धरापतिः
One who is devoted to nocturnal pleasure, upon reaching a hundred thousand, becomes lord of the earth.
बिल्वपत्रैर्भवेद्राज्यं रक्तपुष्पैर्वशीकृतिः
With bilva leaves, one obtains kingship; with red flowers, enchantment.
तस्य स्युरचिरादेव करस्थाः सर्वसिद्धयः
For him, all accomplishments will soon be within his grasp.
तस्य सिद्धो मनुः सद्यः सर्वेप्सितफलप्रदः
His mantra becomes perfected at once, granting all desired fruits.
दत्तं दानं तपस्तप्तं उपास्ते यस्तु कालिकाम्
Whatever charity is given, whatever austerity is performed, whoever worships Kālikā,
पूजिताः सकला देवा यः कालीं पूजयेत्सदा
Whoever always worships Kāli has worshipped all the gods.
यां निषेव्य नरा लोके कृतार्थाः स्युर्न संशयः
Those who serve her in the world become fulfilled, without doubt.
सकामिका क्रुधा शान्तिश्चन्द्रालङ्कृतमस्तका
She is desired, wrathful, peaceful, adorned with the moon on her head.
मुनिरक्षोभ्य उद्दिष्टश्छन्दस्तु बृहती मतम्
The sage Akṣobhya is prescribed; the meter is Bṛhatī, according to tradition.
शक्तिः षड्दीर्घयुक्तेन द्वितीयेनाङ्गकल्पनम्
The śakti should be applied with six long syllables, and the second is for the arrangement of the limbs.
श्रीकण्ठादीन्न्यसेद्रुद्रान्मातृकावर्णपूर्वकान्
He should install Rudras such as Śrīkaṇṭha, preceded by the letters of the Mātṛkā.
चतुर्थीनमसायुक्तान्प्रथमो न्यास ईरितः
The first installation is declared to be with the fourth case ending.
अर्द्धेन्दुशेखरां नानाभूषणाढ्यां स्मरन्न्यसेत्
He should install, remembering her adorned with various ornaments and bearing the crescent moon.
त्रिबीजस्वरपूर्वं तु रक्तसूय हृदि न्यसेत्
With three seed syllables at the beginning, he should install the red Sun in the heart.
कवर्गपूर्वं रक्ताभं मङ्गलं लोचनत्रयम्
With the ka-group at the beginning, of red hue, the auspicious one with three eyes.
ढवर्गाद्यं पीतवर्णं कठ्णकूपे बृहस्पतिम्
With the ḍha-group at the beginning, of yellow color, Bṛhaspati in the hollow of the throat.
नीलवर्णं पवर्गाद्यं नाभिदेशे शनैश्चरम्
Of blue color, with the pa-group at the beginning, Śani should be installed at the navel region.
