सावित्रीं पीतवसनां यजेद्विणुं च तादृशम्
He should worship Savitri, clad in yellow garments, and similarly Vishnu.
यजेत्सरस्वतीमच्छां रुद्रं तादृशलक्षणम्
He should worship Sarasvati, fair, and Rudra of similar appearance.
कराभ्यां बिभ्रतीं पीतां तुन्दिलं धनदायकम्
He should worship her who holds wealth in her hands, yellow, plump, and bestower of riches.
धनदाङ्कसमारूढां महालक्ष्मीं प्रपूजयेत्
He should worship Mahalakshmi, seated upon the lap of Dhanada.
धारयन्तं जपारक्तं पूजयेद्रक्तभूषणम्

चामरे चांशुकं पुष्पं बिभ्राणाः करपङ्कजैः
Holding fans, cloths, and flowers in their lotus-like hands,
वज्रादीन्यपि तद्बाह्ये देवीमित्थं प्रपूजयेत्
Even objects like thunderbolts may be placed outside; thus should the goddess be worshipped.
ब्राह्मणान्वशयेच्छीघ्रं पार्थिवान्पद्महोमतः
One quickly brings Brahmins and kings under control, according to the teaching of Padma.
पञ्चविंशतिधा जप्तैर्जलैः स्नानं दिने दिने
By reciting twenty-five times, one should bathe daily with water.
पञ्चविंशतिधा जप्तं जलं प्रातः पिबेन्नरः
A person should drink water recited over twenty-five times in the morning.
कर्पूरागरुसंयुक्तकुङ्कुमं साधु साधितम्
Camphor and agarwood mixed with saffron, properly prepared,
शालिपिष्टमयीं कृत्वा पुत्तलीं मधुरान्विताम्
Making a doll from rice flour, endowed with sweetness,
वशं नयति राजानं नारीं वा नरमेव च
One brings a king, a woman, or a man under control.
त्रिसहस्रं जपेन्मन्त्रं कन्यामिष्टां लभेत्ततः
By reciting the mantra three thousand times, one obtains the desired maiden.
लिखितां भस्मना मायां ससाध्यां फलकादिषु
A magical figure written with ashes, along with its accompaniments, upon boards and the like,
भुवनेशीयमाख्याता सहस्रभुजसंभवा
She is called Bhuvaneshī, born from a thousand arms.
ततः कल्पान्तरे विप्र कदाचिन्महिषासुरः
Then, at the end of an age, O Brahmin, sometimes Mahishasura—
ततस्त्पीडिता देवा वैकुण्ठं शरणं ययुः
Then, afflicted, the gods went to Vaikuntha for refuge.
श्रीर्बभूवमुनिश्रेष्ठ मूर्ता व्याप्तजगत्त्रया
O best of sages, Shri became manifest, pervading the three worlds.
अरविन्दवनं प्राप्ता भजतामिष्टदायिनी
She reached the lotus grove, bestower of desired blessings to those who worship.
