सर्वपापुविनिर्मुक्तो दीर्घमायुः स विन्दति
Freed from all sins, he attains long life.
महालक्ष्मीर्भवेत्तस्य षण्मासान्नात्र संशयः
Within six months, he becomes endowed with great prosperity—of this there is no doubt.
बहुना किमिहोक्तेन यथावत्साधिता सती
Why say much more here? When she is properly worshipped, she is accomplished.
अथ ते संप्रवक्ष्यामि रहस्यं परमाद्भुतम्
Now I shall tell you a most wonderful secret.
व्योमकेशार्लकासक्तां सुकिरीटविराजिताम्

संध्याद्विजोष्ठपुटितां लसद्वागुपजिह्विकाम्

पर्जन्यदृदयासक्तां वस्वाख्यप्रतिमण्डलाम्
Her heart is attached to the rain-cloud, and her circle is named after the Vasus.
प्रजापत्याख्यजघनां कटीन्द्राणीसमाश्रिताम्
Her hips are known as Prajapati, and her waist is supported by the queens of the lords.
सुजानुजहुकुशिकां वैश्वदेवाख्यसंज्ञिकाम्
Her knees and thighs are well-formed, and she is designated by the name Vaishvadevi.
ग्रहराश्यर्क्षयोगादिमूर्तावयवसंज्ञिकाम्
Her limbs are named after the forms of planets, signs, stars, and conjunctions.
मायाकल्पितवैचित्र्यसंध्याख्यच्छदनावृताम्
She is covered by the wondrous veils of twilight, fashioned by Maya.
कोटिसूर्यप्रतीकाशां शशिकोटिसुशीतलाम्
Resplendent like ten million suns, yet as cool as ten million moons.
वागतीतां मनो ऽगर्म्या वरदां वेदमातरम्
Beyond speech, inaccessible to the mind, bestower of boons, mother of the Vedas.
ध्यात्वा स्वात्माविभेदेन सावित्रीपञ्जरं न्यसेत्

देवता च परो हंसः परब्रह्मादिदेवता

षडङ्गदेवतामन्त्रैरङ्गन्यासं समाचरेत्
With mantras and deities of the six limbs, one should perform the limb-nyasa.
पूर्वोक्तां देवातां ध्यायेत्साकारां गुणसंयुताम्
One should meditate on the previously described deity, possessing form and endowed with qualities.
चतुर्विशतितत्त्वाढ्या पातु प्राचीं दिशं मम
May she, endowed with the twenty-four principles, protect my eastern direction.
षड्विंशतत्त्वसंयुक्ता पातु मे दक्षिणां दिशम्
May she, united with the twenty-six principles, protect my southern direction.
पातु प्रतीचीमनिशं मम ब्रह्मशिराएङ्किता
May she, marked with the Brahmaśiras, protect my western direction day and night.
उदीचीं षट्पदा पातु षष्टितत्त्वकलात्मिका
May she, of six parts and essence of sixty tattvas, protect my northern direction.
व्योमा संपातु मे वोर्द्ध्वशिरो वेदान्तसंस्थिता
May the one established in Vedanta, the sky itself, protect my upward head.
चापेषुचर्मासिधरा पातु मे पावकीं दिशम्
Bearing bow, arrows, hide, and sword, may she protect my fiery direction.
बिभ्रत्कमण्डलुं चाक्षं स्रुवस्रुवौ पातु नैरृतिम्
Holding water-pot, rosary, ladle, and sacrificial spoon, may she protect the southwest.
कपालशूलकाक्षस्रग्धारिणी पातु वायवीम्
Wearing a garland of skulls and bones, may she protect the northwest.
शङ्खचक्राभयकरा पातु शैवीं दिशं मम
With conch, discus, and gesture of fearlessness, may she protect my Shaiva direction.
वराभयखड्गचर्मभुजा पात्वधरां दिशम्
With arms bearing boon, fearlessness, sword, and shield, may she protect the downward direction.
स्वस्वदिक्षुस्थिताः पातुं ग्रहशक्त्यङ्गसंयुताः
May those established in their respective directions, united with the powers of the planets and limbs, protect.
व्यापकत्वेन पान्त्वस्मानापादतलमस्तकम्
By their all-pervasiveness, may they protect us from the soles of the feet to the crown of the head.
