राधिकायाः सुशीलाद्याः सख्यो द्वात्रिंशदीरिताः
Rādhikā and her virtuous companions, said to be thirty-two in number.
रूपयौवनसंपन्नां किशोरीं च स्वलङ्कृताम्
A youthful maiden endowed with beauty and youth, adorned with her own ornaments.
तत्सेवनसुखाह्लादभावेनातिसुनिर्वृताम्
She is deeply satisfied by the joy and delight of serving her.
तावत्परिचरेत्तौ तु यथाकालानुसेवया
One should serve her accordingly, by attending at the proper times.
एतसाधनमुद्दिष्टं प्रपन्नानां मुनीश्वर
This means has been prescribed, O lord of sages, for those who have taken refuge.
ततस्त्वं नारद पुनः पृष्टवान्वै सदाशिवम्
Then you, O Nārada, again questioned Sadāśiva.
ध्यात्वा वृन्दावने रम्ये यमुनातीरसंगतम्
Meditating in beautiful Vṛndāvana, at the bank of the Yamunā.
पठेन्नामसहस्रं तु युगलाख्यं महामुने
One should recite the thousand names called 'Yugala', O great sage.
गदाग्रजः कंसमोहः कंससेवकमोहनः
The elder of the mace, deluder of Kaṃsa, bewilderer of Kaṃsa’s servants.
मातृस्तुतः शिवध्येयो यमुनाजलभेदनः
Praised by his mother, meditated upon by Śiva, splitter of the Yamunā’s waters.
लीलाबालः पद्मनेत्रो गोकुलोत्सव ईश्वरः
Child of divine play, lotus-eyed, the delight of Gokula, Lord.
बकप्राणहरो विष्णुर्बकमुक्तिप्रदो हरिः
Destroyer of Baka’s life, Viṣṇu, giver of liberation to Baka, Hari.
पद्मनाभो हृषीकेशः क्रीडामनुजबालकः
Padmanābha, Hṛṣīkeśa, playful younger boy.
यशोदानन्दनः कान्तो मुनिकोटिनिषेवितः
Son of Yaśodā, beloved, served by multitudes of sages.
रमापतिर्यदुपतिर्मुरारिर्मधुसूदनः
Lord of Lakṣmī, chief of the Yadus, slayer of Mura, destroyer of Madhu.
बृहद्वनमहालीलो नन्दसूनुर्महासनः
Performer of great pastimes in Bṛhadvana, son of Nanda, of great seat.
त्रैलोक्यवक्त्रः पद्माक्षः पद्महस्तः प्रियङ्करः
He whose face is the three worlds, lotus-eyed, lotus-handed, and bringer of delight.
अजाध्यक्षः शिवाध्यक्षो धर्माध्यक्षो महेश्वरः
He is the overseer of beings, the overseer of Shiva, the overseer of Dharma, the great Lord.
गोपीकरावलंबी च गोपबालकसुप्रियः
He who holds the hands of the gopis, and is greatly beloved by the cowherd boys.
गोपीगृहाङ्गणरतिर्भद्रः सुश्लोकमङ्गलः
He who delights in the courtyards of the gopis' homes, auspicious and praised in noble verses.
बालवृन्दी मर्कवृन्दी चकिताक्षः पलायितः
He who is surrounded by children and monkeys, wide-eyed and fleeing.
दामोदरो ऽप्रमेयात्मा दयालुर्भक्तवत्सलः
Damodara, whose nature is immeasurable, compassionate, and affectionate to devotees.
वृक्षभङ्गी शोकभङ्गी धनदात्मजमोक्षणः
He who breaks trees, dispels sorrow, and liberates the son of the wealth-giver.
व्रजकोलाहलकरो व्रजानदविवर्द्धनः
He who creates tumult in Vraja and increases the joy of the people of Vraja.
वत्सपालो वत्सपतिर्गोपदारकमण्डनः
He who tends calves, is the lord of calves, and is the ornament of the wives of cowherds.
पीताम्बरो हेममाली मणिमुक्ताविभूषणः
He who wears yellow garments, a golden garland, and is adorned with jewels and pearls.
वत्सासुरपतिध्वंसी बकासुरविनाशनः
He who destroys the chief of the calf-demons and annihilates the demon Baka.
आद्य आत्मप्रदः संगी यमुनातीरभोजनः
The primordial one, giver of self, companion, who dines on the banks of the Yamuna.
कृतहस्ततलग्रासो व्यञ्जनाश्रितशाखिकः
He who eats food placed in his palm, and enjoys branches bearing condiments.
मयूरपिच्छमुकुटो वनमालाविभूषितः
He who wears a crown of peacock feathers and is adorned with a garland of forest flowers.
