आसनादिविभूषान्तं पुनर्न्यासक्रमाद्यजेत्
From the seat to the ornaments, one should again perform the sequence of installation and worship.
शङ्खं चक्रं गदां पद्मं मालां श्रीवत्सकौस्तुभौ
Conch, discus, mace, lotus, garland, Śrīvatsa, and Kaustubha,
षट्कोणेषु षडङ्गानि दिग्दलेषु क्रमाद्यजेत्
At the six corners, the six limbs; on the petals of the directions, worship in order.
पत्राग्रगा महिष्यो ऽष्टौ यजेत्साधकसत्तमः
At the tips of the petals, the best practitioner should worship the eight queens.
इन्द्रनीलमुकुन्दांश्च करालानन्दकच्छपान्
Indranīla, Mukunda, Karāla, Ānanda, and Kacchapa,
तद्बहिर्लोकपालांश्च वज्राद्यानपि पूजयेत्
Outside of that, one should also worship the guardians of the directions and those like Vajra.
प्रीणयेद्दधिखण्डाज्यमिश्रेण तु पयोंऽधसा
One should please them with milk mixed with curd, sugar, and ghee.
उद्वासयेत्स्वहृदये परिवारगणैः सह
One should bid them farewell into one's own heart, together with their attendant groups.
रत्नाभिषेकध्यानेज्या विंशत्यर्णाश्रिते रिता
By means of consecration with jewels, meditation, and worship, the rite is established with twenty fees.
जपहोमार्चनध्यानैर्यो मनुं प्रजपेदमुम्
Whoever recites this mantra with recitation, oblation, worship, and meditation,
पृथ्वी पृथ्वी करे तस्य सर्वसस्यसमाकुला
for him, the earth will be as if in his hand, overflowing with all kinds of crops.
वह्नावभ्यर्च्य गोविन्दं शुक्लपुष्पैः सतन्दुलैः
Having worshipped Govinda in the fire with white flowers and unbroken rice,
तस्यान्नादिसमृद्धिः स्यात्तदूशे सर्वयोषितः
his prosperity in food and grains will increase, and all women will be under his influence.
श्रिया तस्यैन्द्रमैश्वर्यं तृणलेशायते ध्रुवम्
His wealth and lordly power will be like that of Indra, and all else will seem as insignificant as a blade of grass.
यो हुनेत्प्रत्यहं मासात्पुरोधा नृपतेर्भवेत्
Whoever offers oblations daily, after a month will become the chief priest of the king.
मन्त्रराजमथो वक्ष्ये दशार्णं सर्वसिद्धिदम्
Now I shall declare the king of mantras, the ten-syllabled one that grants all accomplishments.
पवनो ऽग्निप्रियान्तो ऽयं दशार्णो मन्त्र ईरितः
This ten-syllabled mantra, ending with 'wind' and 'beloved of fire,' is thus proclaimed.
कामो बीजं वह्निजाया शक्तिः प्रोक्ता मनीषिभिः
Desire is its seed, the wife of fire is its power, as declared by the wise.
त्रैलोक्यरक्षणं चक्रमसुरान्तकगचक्रकम्
The discus that protects the three worlds, the wheel that destroys demons.
ततस्तारपुटं मन्त्रं व्यापय्य करयोस्त्रिशः
Then, having spread the mantra with the syllabic covering three times over the hands,
दक्षाङ्गुष्ठाच्च वामाङ्गुष्ठान्तमङ्गुलिपर्वसु
from the right thumb to the end of the left thumb, at the joints of the fingers,
न्यसेद्वामकनिष्ठादिकनिष्टान्तं स्थितौ सुधीः
the wise should place (the mantra) from the little finger of the left hand to the end of the little finger, in the state of steadiness.
संहृतिर्देषसंघातहारिणी परिकीर्तिता
The dissolution, which is said to remove the collection of faults, is thus described.
स्थित्यन्तः स्याद्गृहस्थानामेवं काम्यादिरूपतः
At the end of the state of maintenance, for householders, it is thus in the form of desire and so forth.
पुनः स्थितिक्रमेणार्णान्मनोरङ्गुलिषु न्यसेत्
Again, in the order of maintenance, one should place the syllables of the mantra on the fingers.
ततो मूलेन पुटितान्मातृकार्णान्सबिन्दुकान्
Then, having covered with the root, the syllables of the mothers, along with the dot.
ततस्तारपुटं मूलं व्यापकत्वेन विन्यसेत्
Then, the root syllable of the Tārā mantra should be placed with the sense of pervasiveness.
नमोन्तमूलमन्त्रार्णपदायाम्यानि चात्मने
The root syllable, the mantra, the sacred syllable, and the words 'I go' should be directed to the self.
पृथ्वी जलं तथा वह्निर्वायुराकाशमेव च
Earth, water, fire, air, and also space—
प्रविन्यसेन्मस्तके च नेत्रयोः श्रोत्रयोर्नसोः
—should be placed on the head, the two eyes, the two ears, and the nostrils.
