दिवारात्रौ जपं कुर्याद्यावत्संदर्शनं भवेत्
He should recite day and night until the vision occurs.
सुप्रसन्नस्ततो भूत्वा प्रयाति साधकाग्रतः
Then, being well pleased, he appears before the foremost practitioner.
वरं लब्ध्वा साधकन्द्रो विहरेदात्मनः सुखैः
Having obtained a boon, the best of practitioners may enjoy happiness for himself.
प्रकाशितं रहस्यं वै देवानामपि दुर्लभम्
This secret has been revealed, indeed difficult to obtain even for the gods.
वियदिन्दुयुतं पश्चान्ङेंतं पवननन्दनम्
Afterwards, with the sky and moon, one should meditate on the son of the wind.
मुन्यादिकं च पूर्वोक्तं षडङ्गान्यपि पूर्ववत्
Also, as previously stated, the sages and others, and the six limbs as before.
धावन्तं रावणं जेतुं दृष्ट्वा सत्वरमुत्थितम्
Seeing Ravana running forth swiftly to conquer,
गुरुं च क्रोधमुत्पाद्य ग्रहोतुं गुरुपर्वतम्
He should generate anger towards the guru and seize the great mountain.
आब्रह्माण्डं समाख्याप्य कृत्वा भीमं कलेवरम्
Having proclaimed throughout the universe, he assumes a terrible form.
पूर्ववत्पूजनं प्रोक्तं मन्त्र स्यास्य विधानतः
As before, worship is prescribed according to the rule of this mantra.
अस्यापि मन्त्रवर्यस्य रहस्यं साधनं तु वै
The secret practice of this excellent mantra is also as follows.
ब्राह्मे मुहूर्ते चोत्थाय कृतनित्यक्रियः शुचिः
Rising at the Brahma-muhurta, having performed his daily duties, pure in body,
मूलमन्त्रं ततो जप्त्वा सिंचेदादित्यसंख्यया
Then, having recited the root mantra, one should sprinkle with a number equal to the count of the sun.
पर्वते वा वने वापि भूमिग्रहणपूर्वकम्
Whether on a mountain or in a forest, one should first perform the ritual of taking possession of the ground.
रेचकं च पुनर्याद्यैरेवं प्राणान्नियन्य च
Again, with the same method, one should regulate the breath and perform exhalation.
ध्यात्वा पूर्वोक्तविधिना संपूज्य च कपीश्वरम्
Meditating according to the previously described procedure, one should worship the lord of the monkeys.
सप्तमे दिवसे प्राप्ते कुर्याञ्च पूजनं महत्
When the seventh day arrives, one should perform a great act of worship.
महाभयं प्रदत्वा त्रिभागशेषासु निश्चितम्
Having offered great fear, it is certain that only a third remains.
यथेप्सितं वरं दद्यात्साधकाय कपीश्वरः
The lord of the monkeys grants the desired boon to the practitioner.
तत्क्षणादेव चाप्नोति सत्यं सत्यं न संशयः
He attains it immediately; truly, truly, there is no doubt.
सद्याचितं वायुयुग्मं हनूमन्तेति चोद्धरेत्
One should invoke the pair of winds, saying 'Hanuman,' for what is urgently requested.
धग्गन्ते धगितेत्युक्त्वा आयुरास्व पदं ततः
At the end, having spoken 'dhag dhag,' one should then request longevity and the supreme state.
मुन्यादिकं तु पूर्वोक्तं प्लीहरोगहरो हरिः
The previously mentioned sage and others, Hari, are destroyers of spleen disease.
नागवल्लीदलं स्थाप्यमुपर्याच्छादयेत्ततः
One should place a leaf of the naga-creeper and then cover it from above.
शकलं वंशजं तस्योपरि मुञ्चेत्कपिं स्मरेत्
On top of that, one should place a piece of bamboo and remember the monkey.
बदरीभूरुहोत्थां तां मन्त्रेणानेन सप्तधा
That which arises from the badari tree should be treated with this mantra seven times.
सप्तकृत्वः प्लीहरोगो नाशमायाति निश्चितम्
When performed seven times, spleen disease is certainly destroyed.
अमुकस्य शृङ्खलां त्रोटयद्वितयमीरयेत्
One should break the chain of a certain person and utter the pair.
ईश्वरो ऽस्य मुनिश्छन्दो ऽनुष्टुप्च देवता पुनः
The lord is its deity, the sage is the muni, the meter is anushtubh, and again the deity.
हं बीजं ठद्वयं शक्तिर्बन्धमोक्षे नियोगता
'Haṃ' is the seed, 'ṭha' twice is the power, and the application is for binding and release.
