द्वादशार्णस्य षट्कूटं त्यक्त्वा बीजं तथादिमम्
Setting aside the six sections of the twelve-syllabled mantra, its seed and beginning are as follows.
रामचन्द्रो मुनिश्चास्य गायत्री छन्द ईरितम्
Rama Chandra is the sage for this; the meter is Gayatri, as has been declared.
पञ्चबीजैः समस्तेन षडङ्गानि समाचरेत्
With all five seeds, one should perform the six limbs in their entirety.
सीताशोकविनाशो ऽयं लङ्काप्रासादभञ्जनः
This [mantra] destroys Sita’s sorrow and shatters the palaces of Lanka.
षडङ्गमनवो ह्येते ध्यानपूजादि पूर्ववत्
These are the six-limbed mantras; meditation, worship, and so on are as before.
पञ्चकूटानि मन्त्रो ऽयं रुद्रार्णः सर्वसिद्धिदः
This mantra, with five sections, is Rudra’s essence and grants all attainments.
अयमाराधितो मन्त्रः सर्वाभीष्टप्रदायकः
When this mantra is worshipped, it bestows all cherished desires.
जनेयाय महान्ते तु बलायान्ते ऽग्निवल्लभा
For Janeya, at the end of the great [rite], at the end of strength, beloved of fire—
छन्दो ऽनुष्टुप्देवता तु हनुमान्पवनात्मजः
The meter is Anushtubh; the deity is Hanuman, son of the Wind.
आञ्जनेयाय हृदयं शिरश्च रुद्रमूर्तये
For Anjaneya, the heart; for Rudra-form, the head.
रामदूताय नेत्रं स्याद्बह्यास्त्रायास्त्रमीरितम्
For Rama’s messenger, the eyes; for the outer weapon, the weapon is declared.
चलत्कुण्डलदीप्तास्यं पद्मक्षं मारुतिं स्मरेत्
One should meditate on Maruti, with shining face and swinging earrings, lotus-like eyes.
वैष्णवे पूजयेत्पीठे प्रागुद्दिष्टेन वर्त्मना
One should worship on the Vaishnava seat, following the prescribed method.
जपित्वा क्षुद्ररोगेभ्यो मुच्यते नात्र संशयः
Having recited [the mantra], one is freed from minor ailments—of this there is no doubt.
राक्षसौघं विनिघ्नन्तं कपिं ध्यात्वाधनाशनम्
Meditating on the monkey who destroys hordes of demons removes poverty.
सुग्रीवेण समं रामं संदधानं कपिं स्मरन्
Remembering the monkey united with Rama together with Sugriva.
ध्यात्वा लङ्कां दहॄन्तं तमयुतं प्रजपेन्मनुम्
Meditating on Lanka being burned and him surrounded by fire, one should recite the mantra.
ध्यात्वा प्रयाणसमये हनुमन्तं जपेन्मनुम्
At the time of departure, meditating on Hanuman, one should recite the mantra.
हनुमन्तं सदा गेहे योर्ऽचयेज्जपतत्परः
One who is devoted to recitation should always worship Hanuman in the home.
कानने व्याघ्रचौरेभ्यो रक्षेन्मनुरयं स्मृतः
This mantra is remembered as protection from tigers and thieves in the forest.
तस्य दुःस्वप्नचौरादिभयं नैव भवेत्क्वचित्
For him, there will never be fear from bad dreams, thieves, and the like.
वर्मास्त्रान्तो महामन्त्रो द्वादशार्णो ऽष्टसिद्धिकृत्
This great mantra, consisting of twelve syllables, is the end of armor and weapons, and grants the eight powers.
हनुमान्देवतां बीजमाद्यं शक्तिर्हुमीरिता
Hanuman is the deity, the seed is the first syllable, and the power is expressed by 'hum'.
महाशैलं समुत्पाट्य धावन्तं रावणं प्रति
Uprooting a great mountain, running towards Ravana—
ज्वलदग्निसमं जैत्रं सूर्यकोटिसमप्रभम्
Blazing like fire, victorious, shining like ten million suns.
तिष्ठ तिष्ठ रणे दुष्ट सृजन्तं घोरनिः स्वनम्
Crying out, 'Stop, stop in battle, O wicked one!' making a terrible sound.
दशांशं जुहुयाद्वीहीन्पयोदध्याज्यमिश्रितान्
One should offer one-tenth part of rice mixed with milk and ghee.
मूर्तिं संकल्प्य मूलेन पूजा कार्या हनूमतः
Conceiving the form with the root mantra, one should perform the worship of Hanuman.
अथास्य साधनं वक्ष्ये लोकानां हितकाम्यया
Now I will declare its practice, for the welfare of the worlds.
एतद्गुह्यतमं लोके शीघ्रसिद्धिकरं परम्
This is the most secret in the world, and grants swift accomplishment, supreme.
