लक्ष्मणान्ते शक्तिभेदनिवारणपदं वदेत्
At the end of the episode with Lakṣmaṇa, one should recite the phrase for averting the splitting of the missile.
बालोदित ततो भानुमण्डलग्रसनेति च
Then, at the mention of the child, one should say: 'the eclipse of the solar disc.'
इन्द्रजिदूधकारान्ते णसीतासक्षकेति च
At the end of Indrajit’s act of deception, one should say: 'let there be the destruction of the wicked.'
कुंभकर्णादिसंकीर्त्यवधान्ते च परायण
At the conclusion of the narration of Kumbhakarṇa and others, one should recite the supreme refuge.
व्योमद्रुमलङ्घनेति महासामर्थ्य संवदेत्
At the mention of leaping over the celestial tree, one should declare the great prowess.
स्वामिवचनसंपादितार्जुनान्ते च संयुग
At the end of the battle accomplished by the master's command, one should recite Arjuna’s episode.
मार्त्ताण्डमेरु शब्दान्ते वदेत्पर्वतपीटिका
At the end of the phrase 'Mārttāṇḍa-Meru,' one should say 'the seat of the mountain.'
आचार्यमम शब्दान्ते सर्वग्रहविनाशन
At the end of the phrase 'ācārya-mama,' one should recite 'the destruction of all planets.'
सर्वापत्तिनिवारण सर्वदुष्टनिबर्हण
The removal of all calamities and the expulsion of all evil ones.
सर्वव्याध्यादि सम्प्रोच्य भयान्ते च निवारण
Having mentioned all diseases and the like, at the end of fear, one should recite 'removal.'
सर्वशत्रुच्छेदनेति ततो मम परस्य च
One should then say 'the destruction of all enemies,' for myself and for others.
सर्वजीवपदान्ते तु जातं वशययुग्मकम्
At the end of the phrase concerning all living beings, one should recite the pair: 'what is born, bring under control.'
ततो नानानामधेयान्सर्वान् राज्ञः स संपठेत्
Then, one should recite all the various names of the king.
सर्वशस्त्रवीत्यन्ते षाणि विध्वंसय द्वयम्
At the end of all weapons, one should say the pair: 'destroy both.'
विलोमं पञ्चकूटानि सर्वशत्रून्हनद्वयम्
Recite in reverse order the fivefold spells, and the pair: 'destroy all enemies.'
परबलानि परान्ते सैन्यानि क्षोभयद्वयम्
At the end of the phrase concerning hostile forces, say the pair: 'agitate the armies.'
मम सर्वं कार्यजातं साधयेति द्वयं ततः
Then, say the pair: 'accomplish all my undertakings.'
धेत्रयं वर्मत्रितयं फट्त्रयं हान्त्रयं ततः
Then, the threefold 'dhe,' the threefold 'armor,' the threefold 'phaṭ,' and the threefold 'hān.'
वह्निप्रियान्तो मन्त्रो ऽयं मालासंज्ञो ऽखिलेष्टदः
This mantra, called the garland mantra, is dear to fire and grants all desired results.
वस्वष्टबाणवर्णो ऽयं मन्त्रः सर्वेष्टासाधकः
This mantra, composed of eight syllables beginning with 'va' and ending with 'ba', accomplishes all aims.
द्वादशार्णस्य षट्कूटं त्यक्त्वा बीजं तथादिमम्
Setting aside the six sections of the twelve-syllabled mantra, its seed and beginning are as follows.
रामचन्द्रो मुनिश्चास्य गायत्री छन्द ईरितम्
Rama Chandra is the sage for this; the meter is Gayatri, as has been declared.
पञ्चबीजैः समस्तेन षडङ्गानि समाचरेत्
With all five seeds, one should perform the six limbs in their entirety.
सीताशोकविनाशो ऽयं लङ्काप्रासादभञ्जनः
This [mantra] destroys Sita’s sorrow and shatters the palaces of Lanka.
षडङ्गमनवो ह्येते ध्यानपूजादि पूर्ववत्
These are the six-limbed mantras; meditation, worship, and so on are as before.
पञ्चकूटानि मन्त्रो ऽयं रुद्रार्णः सर्वसिद्धिदः
This mantra, with five sections, is Rudra’s essence and grants all attainments.
अयमाराधितो मन्त्रः सर्वाभीष्टप्रदायकः
When this mantra is worshipped, it bestows all cherished desires.
जनेयाय महान्ते तु बलायान्ते ऽग्निवल्लभा
For Janeya, at the end of the great [rite], at the end of strength, beloved of fire—
छन्दो ऽनुष्टुप्देवता तु हनुमान्पवनात्मजः
The meter is Anushtubh; the deity is Hanuman, son of the Wind.
आञ्जनेयाय हृदयं शिरश्च रुद्रमूर्तये
For Anjaneya, the heart; for Rudra-form, the head.
