जुहुयात्कमलैः फुल्लैः पीठे पूर्वोदिते यजेत्
One should offer fully-bloomed lotuses in sacrifice, worshipping on a seat at sunrise.
संपूज्य दक्षिणे राममभ्यर्च्याग्रे ऽनिलात्मजम्
Having duly worshipped Rama on the right, one should then honor the son of the Wind-god in front.
पत्रेषु मन्त्रिमुख्यंश्च बाह्ये लोकेश्वरान्पुनः
On leaves, the chief ministers are to be worshipped, and outside, the lords of the worlds again.
जातीपुष्पैश्चन्दनाक्तै राजवश्याय होमयेत्
With jasmine flowers anointed with sandal, one should offer oblations for royal favor.
बिल्वपत्रैः श्रियः प्राप्त्यै दूर्वाभीरोराशान्तये
With bilva leaves for the attainment of prosperity, and with dūrvā grass and abhiru for the pacification of enemies.
धनं धान्यं च मोक्षं च सीताराधनतो लभेत्
By worshipping Sita, one obtains wealth, grain, and liberation.
अगस्त्यो ऽस्य मुनिश्छन्दो गायत्री देवता पुनः
Agastya is the sage of this (mantra), and Gāyatrī is again the deity.
षड्दीर्घाढ्येन बीजेन षडङ्गानि समाचरेत्
With the six-syllabled seed of extended length, one should perform the six limbs (of worship).
धनुर्बाणकरं रामसेवासंसक्तमानसम्
With bow and arrow in hand, with mind absorbed in the service of Rama,
मध्वाक्तैः पायसैर्हुत्वा रामपीठे प्रपूजयेत
Having offered oblations with honey and milk-rice, one should worship at Rama's seat.
साकल्यं रामपूजाया यदीच्छेन्नियतं नरः
If a man desires the complete worship of Rama, he should do so with discipline.
श्रीरामचन्द्रभेदास्तु बहवः संति सिद्धिदाः
There are many forms of Śrī Rāmacandra, all bestowing success.
अष्टोत्तरसहस्रं वा शतं वा सुसमाहितैः
With full concentration, one should recite either one hundred thousand and eight, or one hundred, times.
अजप्त्वा लक्ष्मणमनुं राममन्त्रान् जपन्ति ये
Those who recite the Rāma mantras without first chanting the Lakṣmaṇa mantra—
यो जपेल्लक्ष्मणमनुं नित्यमेकान्तमास्थितः
Whoever recites the Lakṣmaṇa mantra regularly, in solitude—
जयप्रधानो मन्त्रो ऽयं राज्यप्राप्त्यैकसाधनम्
This mantra is chiefly for victory; it is the sole means for attaining sovereignty.
सो ऽचिरान्नष्टराज्यं स्वं प्राप्नोत्येव न संशयः
He will soon regain his lost kingdom—there is no doubt.
पञ्चायुतं मनुं जप्त्वा नष्टराज्यमवाप्नुयात्
By reciting the mantra fifty thousand times, one regains a lost kingdom.
अयुतं प्रजपेन्मन्त्रं निगडान्मुच्यते ध्रुवम्
By reciting the mantra ten thousand times, one is certainly freed from shackles.
ध्यात्वा लक्षं जपन्मन्त्रमल्पमृत्युं जयेद्धुवम्
Meditating and reciting the mantra one hundred thousand times, one surely conquers premature death.
दुर्जयं वापि वेगेन जयेद्रिपुकुलं महत्
With speed, one can overcome even a formidable host of enemies.
सहस्रं प्रजपेन्मन्त्रं पुरुहूतादिकान् जयेत्
By reciting the mantra a thousand times, one conquers Puruhūta and others.
प्रजपल्लङ्क्षमेकान्ते महारोगात्प्रमुच्यते
Reciting it in solitude for one hundred thousand times, one is freed from severe disease.
अष्टोत्तरशतैः पुष्पैर्निश्छेद्रैः शातपत्रकैः
With one hundred and eight flowers, fresh and intact, of the śātapatra kind—
निवेद्य प्रजपेन्मन्त्रं कुष्टरोगात्प्रनुच्यते
After offering them, reciting the mantra frees one from leprosy.
क्षयरोगात्प्रमुच्येत सत्यं सत्यं न संशयः
One is freed from consumption—this is true, true, and without doubt.
त्रिसंध्यं वा पिबेन्नित्यं मुच्यते सर्वरोगतः
By drinking it daily at the three junctions of the day, one is freed from all diseases.
विषादिदोषसंस्पर्शो न भवेत्तु कदाचन
There will never be contact with poisons and other afflictions.
मुखनेत्रादिसंभूताञ्जयेद्द्व्रोगांश्च दारुणान्
One conquers even severe diseases arising from the mouth, eyes, and so on.
लक्ष्मणप्रतिमां कृत्वा दद्याद्भक्त्या विधानतः
Having made an image of Lakṣmaṇa, one should offer it with devotion, according to the prescribed method.
